Would a JD5 apology to LSU fix this?

Highly unlikely, but let’s just pretend he fires his mother this week and apologizes publicly to LSU and the fans for his stupidity.

Would it change the general opinion of him, or are LSU fans permanently done with this clown?

I’ve asked a few of my buddies and all of them say F-him forever.

To me, it would depend on how he said it and what he said, I guess.

I would hope so. I still think he was a great player for us but received and listened to some bad advise. I'll never forget OT vs Alabama nor the Florida game the next year. I hope he does issue some sort of apology, but it needs to happen sooner than later.

I do t have a bad opinion of Jayden now. I think he is taking bad advice and needs to wise up.

He’s being compared to Derrius Guice in another thread. Let that sink in.

Couldn't hurt. It's best for LSU and JD if they can patch things up.

Nope but firing his PR team, probably just mom, would fix it.

It would help if he wants to be welcome ever, to come out and say “I f’d up, should have taken more responsibility of my teams decisions or my ego got in the way of my love for LSU”, etc.

But he’s running out of time.

This will all blow over. It will take time but time will heal these wounds.

It took 15 years for Pete Maravich to reconcile with LSU after we fired hi dad, Press. He only appeared in the Assembly Center once, and I had the great privilege of being there that night. Now the building wears his name.

But, yes, he completely missed how this would be seen by the national media.

This vitriol is weird to me. But sadly, not surprising.

Well he kind of blew that by releasing a statement already and not taking any responsibility for the mess and blaming it on his team.

If he doesn't want LSU using his NIL, then I hope he understands that could very well seal the deal that his number would never get retired.

And for the record, the only LSU jersey numbers that should retired are those worn by a player that wins both a national championship and a Heisman trophy... and it doesn't have to be in the same season.

This is petty and 18 year old children looking to come play for us would hold it against us.

If he fires his mom and gives a full, unmitigated apology, we should fully embrace him for it.

Not going to happen, but this is purely hypothetical.

No one, now or in the future, is making immediate and future financial decisions based on Jayden Daniels’ feelings.

Yes this will blow over. He needs to talk to his mom though going forward. He’s going to have to make a decision.
