The only things that is of any concern to me against Clemson is first game type stuff with a totally new offense and Dabo will come out swinging. His teams are usually well motivated. If all of the above plays out I could see it being tight. But if we are who we think we are and they are who we think they are I can see a 40-17 LSU win.

I mean their starting QB is pretty inexperienced. If our defense lives up to half the hype we should definitely win this game by a decent margin.

I actually like Clemson ever since they beat bama with Deshaun Watson and again 44-16 in championships.

Supposedly they have a young offensive line. New QB who was a strong 4 star QB. Hardly played tho in 3 years now. Apparently they retooled their secondary. A lot quicker now.

Sorry for no insight but man how awesome would it be in an overly electric tiger stadium in LKs debut if we came out and just kicked the ever loving shite outta them. I’m talking like some 55-10 type of beat down. I really do feel like the sky is the limit for this team but the big question will be how quickly we can gel as a team. I wish we had a few more games before ole miss but Clemson kinda feels like the perfect tune up for week 3. I just hope we dial in and take care of business.

I think its the perfect opener for LSU's Kiffin era. Not a great team, maybe not even good but with plenty of name recognition and a national brand to get more eyeballs. More eyeballs matter, Kiffin said as much at the Rotary club, talking about how LSU got 12 Nike NIL deals for the kids, nobody else was even close. It's because LSU gets eyeballs, and this next era will be great for the LSU brand with Kiffin.

Between a 1st full time QB, losing RB1, replacing the whole OL, a guy at OC who hasn’t coached in 6 years, and LSU’s projected stout defense along with playing at home in Death Valley I just don’t see how Clemson musters up more than 17 points. I think LSU wins in a 35-17 type of game

I have posted this elsewhere, but I live in SC and I am friends with many Clemson Fans, season ticket holders, and a couple of booster (albeit not big ones, but boosters none the less). They feel like Clemson is not keeping up and they are ready for Dabo to be gone. Some of them wete surprised he is still there after last year. I haven't talked to a single Clemson fan who feels like they even have a chance in the opener. Most feel like it will be a 14-21 point blowout. The game is played on the field and LSU has ALOT of pieces to put together, but LSU has way more pieces than Clemson. I think they will struggle again this year and Dabo will be out. I know he has won 2 National Championships, but that is in the distant past now and they are trending in the wrong direction.

Not insight but their quarterback, Christopher Vizzina, was in Birmingham today filming a commercial for Walk-On’s.
