Went and got a pretty basic fitting (shaft flex, length, and lie angle) and ordered the 101T's to spec. I am anticipating a long delivery process with them being custom and the holidays but I will update when I receive them.

I think you know the answer to this. There's a real battle between good and evil, the curiosity you feel is not stemming from the good side, the hesitation you feel is.

You should get fitted for lie, flex and length before you buy Takomo clubs, you can get that done at most golf shops. Takomo has a custom section to where you can add your specs.

Yes, this is exactly what I am doing. Right now the plan is get these specs and order the 101T's to those specs, The 101T's are hollow body and forgiving without the big bulky look of the 101's.

I did just get introduced to the Maltby's which have thrown a curveball at me because I've never heard of them but they seem to be similar to Takomo in price and quality.

Thanks for the new rabbit hole haha

I have never heard of Maltby and have been researching Takomo for a couple weeks now, so I need to dig a little deeper on these. I will say from first glance they look nice but the purchasing process seems to be a little less involved, doesn't look like I can pick from a list of shafts.

I've never played a set of irons that were fitted to me in anyway. I have played standard sets my whole time playing. That said, their policy now is you can hit the 7 iron and see how you like it, if you don't like it you can return the whole set. My worry is not being able to be honest with myself and say "You can't hit these, return them" haha

FALSE.

This is precisely the reason for the expansion. Indiana will be humbled. Ohio State will be tested but will withstand. Ohio State is very talented, I do not think Indiana should be lumped into the same conversation as them. This will become very apparent this weekend.

Yea I am leaning towards the 101T's also. The "forged feel" of the 201's seems nice but I feel as if I won't experience that pureness feel as much as someone else who is a better ball striker.

How drastic was the club head size difference from the 101 to 101t? Was this a factor in you choosing the 101's?

I have been playing a set of TM Rocketbladez for about 3 years. I bought them used for $300 from Edwin Watts. I am looking to upgrade to a new iron set and I am stuck on Takomo Irons right now simply because of the price and the look of them.

I am leaning towards the 101T's or the 201's which are forged, I have never played a forged iron so the 201's would be a big jump.

Looking for any insight, any reviews, good or bad experiences in the delivery processes?

I think with this spectacle that was created by hiring Kiffin midseason and all the noise around it, we have the potential to pull a guy from a program that most wouldn't even think about. With the coaching carousel we have seen this year, don't be surprised to see some shocking names get in the portal for a chance to run the new age LSU offense.

Hand up. I did forget about that.
Hopefully, that gave him the confidence boost he needed going into the off season.

I really hope Cowan can be the guy he was mid season last year. He was getting touched up a little towards the end and I hope that wasn't signs of things to come. We have so many power arms it is a nice change of pace when we can bring in a guy like that. He can completely shut down a lineup if the stuff is on.

Are Reaves and Pearson locks to start at corners?
No sir. The lineups this past weekend did not tell that story. But it is fall ball and plenty things will move around.

I think CJJ will put together a scary lineup and the best outfield in the country. I believe with Milam anchoring the infield and the new transfers/Reaves/Pearson will make for a good infield.

BUT

Will the pitching staff step up? I know we have talent and depth but outside of Evans we do not have any returning pieces that are locks for a starting role. I wouldn't say I am worried, I am more so excited to see who develops into the next guy we can lean on. There are plenty potentials with Rizy and Schmidt at the top of my list.

Who else on the staff do you all see making significant impact?
Like they're uncomfortable to the point it drives you nuts? Or are you saying another man's shoe choice has this much of an impact on your life?
