wtf is a dunking hoop? You can still be old and grumpy and know what a basketball goal is right? Why are we renaming common sport equipment?
Also, who cares what they do to celebrate? let the boys live, if its not cool to you that probably means its really cool to them.
Spot the ball.

Good, too much congestion, flooding etc
While I am not arguing for or against any side of this. I do know that the drainage requirements for new developments within the parish are relatively aggressive compared to neighboring parishes. The biggest one being the reduction in stormwater runoff from pre-developed state to the post developed state of the property. This typically includes a detention pond that will collect/hold rain water and slowly release it at a desired flow rate that is less than the pre-developed site runoff flow rate. So "in theory", these new developments "should" improve the drainage in their respective drainage basins. Are these developments always built to spec? no. That's why I say "in theory".
Nerd out.

I was watching highlights from the 2009 saints superbowl team last night and was reminded how much more fun football was when it was played by a bunch of mean hard hitting dudes rather than the pansies that make up today's game
The game is evolving yes, but if you think for a second that this is not still a very violent game, you my friend have not been close enough. RB and LB meeting in the gap is still a very violent affair. You may not see replays of the hit over and over, but it is still violent. There are no pansies playing high level football, argue with a wall.

I barely made it out alive trying to read that.

This guy sounds like a dork.
re: SEC adopting 3 batter min rule for pitchers, only 2 pickoffs

I see. Man still seems like something that can be exploited in some kind of way. The gamesmanship will keep evolving with these changes as well.
So if you throw over to first twice on someone with a big lead, after that second pick off they are basically given a pass to steal second base? You are not allowed to throw over again until when? The next batter?
This obviously can't be the case, so what am I missing?

The value of being in LSU's program for a year utilizing the weight room staff, nutrition staff, the swing data, the pitching lab data, the simple fact of being around high level baseball players constantly is something that needs to be considered when comparing incoming freshman. The guys coming in have been "The Guy" everywhere they go. Let them get around some guys that push the limits a little more, show them that there's another level, then see where they are come January/February. The Ruckert, Patrick, and Brauns you saw playing their tails off to end the year are completely different players than what walked on campus last year. I wouldn't write Ruckert or Patrick off as fast as a lot of people are seeming to do.
I think the fire wiener guy wins in this arson battle

I'm also not sure what you mean by your PS4 slowly becoming unplayable. The PS5 released in 2020 and Sony was still releasing games for PS4 in December, with software updates continuing until Spring 2026.
I didn't play it enough to keep up with the updates, and when I did do an update it seemed like I had to delete a game off my system every time to make room. It was a chore to keep up with to be able to just turn it on and hop into a game.

I looked into this, but I have zero (0) knowledge on PC's. I do have an alienware laptop that I was given for a job. It just sits now. Is that something that would be able to run games? I know you probably need more info than that, but I was told it was a very powerful laptop, just don't feel like laptops can produce enough to be a gaming system? But "I have zero (0) knowledge on PC's" so really never tried it

XBOX vs PS5 - Which will last longer?

I haven't had a gaming system since a PS4 back in 2020. I am looking to get something new to play mainly sports games, MLB the Show, Madden ETC.. I will also play a little bit of COD or Fortnite, or I used to atleast. My worry is if I buy a PS5 they will have a new system out in the next year and my system will slowly become unplayable as my PS4 did. I am open to both Xbox and PlayStation, i just want the one that will hold its own the longest.
Is there any recommendations from the gaming board?

re: How often do you work out?

2.5 hours on an elliptical would send me into a psychotic episode. There isn't a good enough book or podcast that could get me through that multiple times a week. Theres gotta be a better balance of time and intensity of a cardio workout to get the same results as that?

I really do believe with the high school talent we recruit, we should be able to develop and compete at a level equal to teams full of transfers. I'll take a quality one or two transfers that are staples in a lineup or a pitching rotation, but a solid group of year 3 juniors/ year 4 seniors create very solid teams. Those scrappy mid major teams full of juniors and seniors is proof every year that the model still works. Recruit the best, develop them, then finally fill the gaps with transfers. You can't create a culture if your team's core leans on a transfer.
Feels like we don't really take advantage of the level of talent we bring in from the freshman classes. Yes, we have the standouts that produce year one, but the real value of a strong class comes in the years to come. We can't let these guys come here, develop, polish up their game just to roll out and produce else where. Keep them here, give them those long leashes like the transfers get, and collect on your investments.
