Yeah i posted coastal as 8 before they lost. I feel like there is no one for that 8th spot. Its a slaughter spot for wake anyway
You could argue oklahoma st for that spot or even kentucky

Voting Wake Forest number 1 reminds me of the days voters would put Boise State #1 just because they were undefeated.
Wake is not a 1 seed nor are they a threat to win it all.

Thats pretty fricking laughable.
They are what tennessee was last year without the notoriety and assholes
They absolutely deserve the #1 spot, by a mile
The acc is a very respectable baseball conference

I have a hard time with Kentucky as even being considered for a top 8. They lost 6 out of 10 SEC series this year including 6 of their last 7.

I really don't understand RPI at all.

Stanford doesn't really deserve a top 8 at this point. Although there are only 6 teams that actually deserve a top 8. No matter who 7 and 8 are you will be able to point to someone below them that blows them away in certain categories.
With coastal removing themselves, I may be putting Stanford back in in the morning. It won't be because I feel like they deserve it though.

crazy to think no team west of fayetteville has a host site

They really shouldn't be. The parity is absolutely real this year though. Somebody is going to have to go in that spot.

Oklahoma St and Stanford will.

Dallas baptist also in the mix

95% of the time the committee goes with rpi over all else, we’ll just have to see if they hold to that. If they do, kentucky gets a top 8.
Just remember, the committee is lazy and they dont dig deep

In the 16. Not top 8. 2-7 quad 1 is why I can't put them in.
If the committee goes for the best resumes 1-16, then I think I'll be pretty close tomorrow. I'm mind fricking myself though, because I'm splitting myself between what I know is the best resumes and what I think the committee will actually do. It's ridiculous that Stanford (and I am thinking Oklahoma St) will bump a more deserving team out of hosting a super, simply because they are from another conference.
Indiana St also should not host. Dallas Baptist shouldn't either, but those teams are in the discussion because the ACC and SEC make up 80% of the deserving teams.

Couldn't sleep. So I took a stab at it tonight.
Final Prediction (I think. I may change my mind in the morning)
Here is my list of what I feel the committee SHOULD do.
My predictions as of 5/27 night:
1. Wake Forest
2. Florida
3. Arkansas
4. Clemson
5. LSU
6. Vandy
7. Miami
8. Virginia
9. Oklahoma St
10. Alabama
11. Stanford
12. Kentucky
13. Auburn
14. South Carolina
15. Coastal Carolina
16. Duke
That's 13 of the 16 from the SEC and ACC. I think this list would put the most deserving teams in the top 16, and the most deserving 8 with the chance to host a super.
This isn't what I think they WILL do though. The committee will spread out host sites, and give other conferences an opportunity. So I played the dangerous game of trying to get into their minds and guess what they will do. Here is what I came up with. This is my final predictions, as of now. I may feel different in the morning.
1. Wake Forest
2. Florida
3. Arkansas
(Splitting hairs between UF and Arkansas. It could go either way. UF has more Q1 wins. Arky is 1 spot ahead in RPI currently)
4. Clemson
5. Vandy
6. LSU
(I think Clemson is clear cut #4 now. Flip a coin between LSU and Vandy. Vandy has SOS. LSU has RPI and Q1 record. I'm just guessing that the committee awards Vandy's late success over LSU's late struggles)
7. Oklahoma St
8. Stanford
9. Miami
10. Alabama
11. Virginia
12. Kentucky
13. Coastal Carolina
14. Auburn
15. South Carolina
16. Indiana St

8 SEC teams would be a record number of hosts from one conference and you even had UTk in contention for a host site before they went 1 and done this week.
USCe is really the only one on the bubble now from the SEC to get a regional. just a matter of if the committee sticks to analytics or if they decide to spread the wealth and pull in another Midwest site with a Indiana St or Dallas Baptist getting to host. With USCe losing 5 straight weekends I think they ship them to another regional and the SEC gets 7 sites and the committee rationalizes their decision with that.
the one afterthought of SEC teams making a regional is A&M and they might win the SECt tomorrow after playing 6 straight days. This conference is so deep that really any one of them could win it all if they turn it on at the right time (see OM last year). Not hating the 60:1 odds on them to win the CWS right now.

I just can't see the SEC getting 8 host sites even if the numbers say they should.

Number 7
LSU has struggled down the stretch. Even the games LSU won have been very very close.

Yes, 7 wouldn’t surprise me.
