After the dust settles tonight I'm going to take a stab at projecting the top 16. The committee will probably make me look like a dumbass, but I'm working on making that list anyway.

I think you can make a fairly good guess at the top 16. To me 6 of the top 8 are locked (probably 7 though I'm not convinced Stanford should be).

Wake loses to Miami and will face Clemson tomorrow for the ACC title. Doesn't do much for Wake, but maybe helps push Miami into the top 8.

We should count our blessings to even get an 8. We are simply not much better than that. If the committee looks at our last 10 or so games we might get a 7/8

This thread has been great at outing the idiots who don't know a single thing about college baseball outside of the scoreboards that they see on the rant.

What's sensible about saying LSU is lucky to be 8? There isn't a team you could place ahead of LSU at 7 or 8 that would be ahead of LSU in a single metric.
Despite what you believe:
1 - LSU had a GREAT season
2 - other teams have struggles too

I spent the time to post all the info you could possibly need. All you have to do is look at it. Tell me which team, not named Wake, Arky, Florida, Vandy, or Clemson is bumping LSU down to 7.
That's the problem with people on the rant. You can't see the world outside of LSU. LSU hasn't been perfect lately, so you are ready to drop them off a cliff, without realizing that the people who were trying to climb to reach LSU have also fallen.
I guess it's possible that the committee is as dumb as you, but I wouldn't count on it.

As long as we're one of the top 8 I'm good. I think we'll end up between 4 and 6. Now our guys need to put the regular season and the SEC Tournament behind them and come out smoking.

11-13 could be Auburn, Alabama, and Kentucky. Give me whatever is paired with Kentucky. Second pick would be Bama. I really don't want to see Auburn again unless it's in Omaha.
