Final final predictions.
So the committee did what I felt they should do, and not what I thought they would do. That's a positive sign towards the committee not being baffons. With that said, it'll cause a shake up in how I think the top 16 will land. This is a hell of a lot harder to predict than just naming the host sites, so I'm sure they make a fool of me tomorrow morning. But here we go.
1. Wake Forest
2. Florida
3. Arkansas
(Pretty certain the top three will be these in some order, with Wake being #1. It's splitting hairs between Arkansas and Florida, but I'm going with UF's Q1 wins and road record over Arkansas' RPI and SOS. It depends on emphasis here, on which order they go).
4. Clemson
5. Vandy
6. LSU
(These three should be in some order too. Here I'm going with emphasis being put on the hotter teams. Clemson and Vandy hold Q1 record over LSU too, so I'm sliding us into the 6 spot)
7. Stanford
8. Miami
(It gets tricky here. I don't feel Stanford belongs, but I think they will be rewarded for running through the pac during the regular season. I also think they will want at least one non SEC/ACC team here. I'm going to give the nod to Miami because nobody else really seemed to want these final two spots. I think an SEC is more deserving, but they won't give it, so Miami is the next best option).
9. Virginia
10. Kentucky
11. Oklahoma St
12. Alabama
13. Auburn
14. Coastal Carolina
15. South Carolina
16. Indiana St
(Just taking shots in the dark here. Can't really know what they will weigh heaviest to decide. Just kind of piecing things together to come up with an order.)

That's as good a guess as any on 9-16 TBH. I'd probably have Alabama ahead of Kentucky in the pecking order. And maybe OK State too.

I don't know if my #8 is correct. It could be Virginia or even Oklahoma St, if they are dead set on mixing conferences in there. The fact that they have 8 SEC teams tells me that they want to get the best 16 teams in order though. I'm hoping they stick to this trend in the order anyway.

Part of me is wondering if we don't see Kentucky as the #8 seed with how much they seem to love RPI.

I'd be shocked as hell if the SEC has 5 top 8's. I was also surprised that the SEC has 8 of 16 though. You can really make a case for quite a few teams in that 8 spot.

Could totally see it, although i dont expect it.
I think the 8 spot comes down to virginia, miami, and oklahoma st.
I think they go virginia

Same just saying that it wouldn't floor me. I think the RPI will weigh heavily in who the last few teams in are.

I could make a case for Virginia, Miami, Oklahoma St, Alabama and Kentucky.
For whatever reason I'm leaning towards being hot at the end of the season being a separating factor, when a lot of other stuff is close. Only with Stanford am I not doing that.

In half the conference. And oh by the way, how’s that work out for Tn?
