Final Prediction (I think. I may change my mind in the morning)

Here is my list of what I feel the committee SHOULD do.

My predictions as of 5/27 night:

1. Wake Forest
2. Florida
3. Arkansas
4. Clemson
5. LSU
6. Vandy
7. Miami
8. Virginia
9. Oklahoma St
10. Alabama
11. Stanford
12. Kentucky
13. Auburn
14. South Carolina
15. Coastal Carolina
16. Duke

That's 13 of the 16 from the SEC and ACC. I think this list would put the most deserving teams in the top 16, and the most deserving 8 with the chance to host a super.

This isn't what I think they WILL do though. The committee will spread out host sites, and give other conferences an opportunity. So I played the dangerous game of trying to get into their minds and guess what they will do. Here is what I came up with. This is my final predictions, as of now. I may feel different in the morning.

My predictions as of 5/27 night:

1. Wake Forest
2. Florida
3. Arkansas

(Splitting hairs between UF and Arkansas. It could go either way. UF has more Q1 wins. Arky is 1 spot ahead in RPI currently)

4. Clemson
5. Vandy
6. LSU

(I think Clemson is clear cut #4 now. Flip a coin between LSU and Vandy. Vandy has SOS. LSU has RPI and Q1 record. I'm just guessing that the committee awards Vandy's late success over LSU's late struggles)

7. Oklahoma St
8. Stanford

9. Miami
10. Alabama
11. Virginia
12. Kentucky
13. Coastal Carolina
14. Auburn
15. South Carolina
16. Indiana St

Wait those teams have losses?

I thought all of them were undefeated but LSU. Man those coaches must suck.

I'm thinking #5 we where is ultimately ends up. If Clemson advances, or wins, the ACC, they will have the resume to move them ahead of LSU.

6 is on the table for us if Vandy finishes off Bama and then beats Florida tomorrow. I could see them leap frogging as well.

Our rocky finish to the season may be used to drop us a notch. 6 is the as low as you can justify though.

The committee every year shows that for national seeds especially the top 8 the conference tourneys don’t mean much but yea you guys keep thinking that major changes are going to happen over the weekend.

We could land anywhere between 4-6. If Clemson upsets Wake in the finals I would say closer to six. If not the 4 seed will come down to Vandy and LSU.

What "major" changes are reflected in my projections?

We are talking about splitting hairs between positions within the top 8. Not teams getting moved into, or out, of it.

Seem like a lock for #4/5

Definitely curious which one would be preferable. Assuming hosts make it to Omaha. Win as the #5 seed and you're the home team in Game 2.

Won't know that until the regionals are announced. I'm more worried about the super match up than I am about home/away splits in Omaha.

At this point, if we are playing Wake Forest, the season was a success. We either hope to play them, or play somebody that knocked them off. Either way, it's in Omaha and I'll take it.

Couldn’t even hold a top 4 seed after leading the country the entire season up until mid April. Wow. Complete meltdown. We aren’t leaving BR SMH

Sweet. Since you know this already you don't have to watch, or post about it.
