I also have no doubt they a deep dive into all things related to pitching this year (pitch calling, usage, etc). I expect they will tweak some things going into next season.

I had heard that we were pushing hard for him. We’ve definitely covered our bases as far as position players to have enough options.

Well you said Arizona State is not any good. They made a regional final lthis past season and return one of the best players in the country. They'll be a preseason top 15 team next year.

We are playing UNLV but it’s at their on campus stadium.

Iowa had a RPI of 69 last season. If that’s the worst team we play that weekend that’s pretty solid.

Exactly. I love how people think players out of the portal are going to want to come here to play a couple of innings behind the plate late in games (that we have a lead in) and get maybe 50 at bats on the season.

The 2027 Live Like Lou Las Vegas Classic will include three days of play at Las Vegas Ballpark, which serves as the home of the Athletics’ Triple-A affiliate, the Las Vegas Aviators. The weekend tournament will have two games per day in a round-robin format. The full schedule, including matchups and game times, will be finalized soon.

After the three-game tournament, LSU will remain in Las Vegas and face UNLV on Monday, March 8, in a single game at Earl E. Wilson Stadium on the UNLV campus.

We were supposed to play Florida State in Biloxi for a midweek back in 2023 but they backed out.

I don't think we were ever really in it for him. Unfortunately for us, most of the good transfers are going to end up in the SEC.

Weather is cooling off this week there so that's good news for Sinner. Looks like ESPN it putting all the streaming stuff on ESPN Unlimited again like they did for the Aussie Open.
