LSU has 2 close losses on the road to good teams, but do we have a quality win? Bama is a must win.

People will put an asterisk on Miss State, but who else has beaten Clemson by 41, A&M by 29, & Auburn by 21?

Well people decide to change who is good and who sucks depending on if we're playing them.

Clearly Auburn is good enough to go on the road and beat the #1 team in the country (who moved up in the rankings this week) but when we beat the hell out of them it's basically treated as a g6 win.

We destroy a&m for 4 quarters and they play close with Bama for 3 1/2 quarters. Bama moves up again.

We also beat Clemson worse than Miami did.

But here's the main thing to keep in mind.

We've beaten the absolute dog shite out of 6 teams. We lost 2 games on the road to top 12 teams on the last possession.

We've been much more consistent in our performances than just about anyone else in the country.

Trust me, everyone saw what we did to Auburn at Auburn coming off their W at #1 UGA. That's our best W. We never blow out Auburn at their house.

But we need to beat Bama to have a true quality W.

They’re all just looking for ways to put us down but truth be told those were all dominant wins and the supposed best teams in the country didn’t do what we did against those opponents. That’s why the metrics underline that we are in fact a top 5 team

After we beat all the remaining teams on the schedule you will say they aren’t any good because we beat them, lol. Just win the remaining games on the schedule. LSU didn’t play great, but definitely got shafted at Kentucky.

I'm gonna say we do!

It wasn't that we just beat Clemson, Aggie, State, and Auburn, it was the way we completely destroyed them.

State was ranked #16 when we played them I believe. Auburn was coming off a huge win over #1 and sitting with a 4-2 record when we played them. That was a huge statement on the road. Who has Utah beaten? Who has UCLA beaten? Who has Miami beaten?

Bama, Texas and Tennessee would all be quality wins. You play who you play.

Look at the Top 10, tell me who all has "quality wins"... Ohio State has Indiana. Georgia has Bama. BYU has Notre Dame. Kentucky has us. Everyone else just has a bunch of wins.

Right now, midseason, teams in competitive conferences don't have "quality wins" because they're putting losses on other teams.

I think Auburn because it was on the road. The one breakdown where we let the QB waltz through half our defense was the exception - the rule was our defense dominated a team that beat Georgia in Athens the week before.

Aggies and Clemson are just bad. We did what you should do to bad teams at home so both good wins, but AU being on the road was the best IMHO.

Indiana

I also think Indiana is much like Texas. Good defense but no offense. I'm also not sold on either Georgia or Alabama. LSU is in a great spot to go back to back with Alabama and Texas. They do that and they will be getting all the love they deserve. We just need to continue playing with a business approach, not too high or not too low. We will need that approach to win the next 3, especially the Tenn game.

If we were undefeated we wouldn’t have a “quality” win. Ole Miss would have 3 losses and everyone would say they were overrated and nobody would give us credit for beating Kentucky. Doesn’t matter. Just keep winning.

This last game at Auburn was a quality win, imo. Maybe not on paper with them being unranked but it’s hard for any team to go into Jordan hare and control a game from start to finish like that.

Their other losses are to Florida by less than a td, and on the road at Neyland. They are on a positive path with their new coach and he will do fine there, imo. It was a good win.

ETA: plus it got the road losing streak monkey off our back

Bama will be tough cause it's bama...but they are arse and won't really be a quality win at the end of the year! Same with Tenner...Texas will be viewed as a quality win but they aren't that good either! May not get a true quality win till the playoff!
