QB, LT and Edge. Kiffin just signed the top portal player at each of those positions. Absolutely killed it.

I’ve coached youth sports of all kinds over the years. I will tell you that 10 year old basketball is the hardest to give equal playing time. In a rec league you maybe have two kids that can dribble the ball the full length of the court. Those two kids have to stay on the court. That leaves you rotating 7 or 8 kids in three spots for 4 quarters. If your kid is playing half of the game consider yourself lucky.

Honest question, why would we be spending less next year because we signed multi year players? Won’t we have to renegotiate all of those deals again? Seems to be the way it played out this offseason.

So their grades were similar to ours but they had a 1,500 yard rusher and put up 40 points per game? Is it all scheme?

I don’t understand why the number of players we replace affects who we get. It’s not like the players that are currently on the team are free and if they stay we can just go spend all of our money on the portal. Also, for every player we lose in the portal we gain whatever we were paying them.

Somebody posted the rushing stats for Davis at his previous stops in another thread. Doesn’t seem like he’s ever had success running the ball.

I’m betting Kiffin feels like all of these guys are overpaid compared to his Oline at Ole Miss and told their agents he intends to re-evaluate their NIL. Of course they’re not happy and want to test the waters with the portal. We’ll see how it all shakes out.
