and there it is people. we should accept this since 2017 because it is a NON revenue sport. dumb.

meanwhile track and field and womens baslketball lose WAY more $$$$$ than softball.

no need to make a commitment to be ELITE right? you just proved my points yet again.

If LSU feels like you then blow it up. cut the program down to the bone.

save $$$. let her walk.

don't wanna win big then let's save money. blow up all those other non revenue sports also. Keep them all on a bare minimum budget just to fulfill title IX.

let football and mens basketball keep making $$$. put every dine into these 2 sports moving forward. cut the rest down to the bone.

no half assing. you are either all the way in or all the way out.

It would be asinine to lay a buyout in softball to a coach who made supers

Don’t extend her. She can finish contract or walk.

The money is not endless especially for a non revenue sport that loses money.
LSU is heavily invested in Baseball and Women’s Hoops besides the 2 big revenue generators in football and men’s hoops. There is simply not enough money to pour more into softball bc you aren’t pulling any away from the others right now.
Torina and the program are fine given what I just said.
You aren’t going to get a big name coach unless you pony up and lsu isn’t going to do that for softball right now.
They’ll probably just let Beth’s contract run out and then reevaluate.

You sound mad. Too mad for a defense of a sport nobody cares about. When can I expect your swimming rant?

It’s softball. They have a winning record and make the post season pretty much every year. That’s all they need to be.

weak argument. Revenue or non revenue, its still a part of LSU sports branding and College Women's Softball is gaining steam year after year with some nice tv ratings. The games are enjoyable to watch and here we are talking about softball more and more each year.

right. either we are going to be all in or all out. no half assing. she has been here sine 2012 and are we where we want to be now? how much more time does she need? she has had 14 years. she blew a 4 year window.

anyone answering honestly will say NO. pumptards are spinning the same shite since 2017 like they did with miles for years. look at recruits, winning record, post season bowl, etc. are we competing for titles? Can we not do better? shite i bet we can get these results for way less money spent.

take the sport seriously and make a commitment to get to the next level or cut all down to the bone and throw all $$ at football and basketball. the 2 bread winners.

why even piss money away then? it loses $$ anyway. do it right or not at all.

Yes, it is. We already spend enough money on sports that don't produce revenue.

LSU and their concern with women's softball is in line with their concern with Track and Field. They do not care!

We are pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into football. We appear to be prepared to pour tens of millions of dollars into men’s basketball now.

No offense to the softball lovers on here, but who cares? We made it to a super regional. By definition, we were one of the top 16 teams in the nation.

If I were the A.D., I would have three goals for the Olympic sport coaches. Make the NCAA tournament. Graduate your players. Don’t have any embarrassments for the overall program.

If they did those three things, they would have a very long rope with me.

The only sports that are not subject to those guidelines are football, men’s basketball, baseball, maybe women’s basketball, and maybe track and field (purely because of tradition).

LSU's softball revenue increased by nearly 21% in '25 compared to '24. The overall deficit decreased by over 400k. Not sure what numbers are for this past year yet. That gives us the same net loss as oklahoma softball. Their revenues are substantial but then so are there expenses. Same 2.9 million loss.

Does the average college softball coach make the postseason every year?

She may not be achieving what we think she should, but she is not your average coach.

Yeah replace the guy after we just got the hottest football coaching name in the country (maybe the hottest name in a long time) and got Will Wade back.

We just spent like $200M to overhaul both football and mens BBall. I don't think spending money on softball is in the cards for the next few years.

LSU fans aren’t happy unless some coach is getting fired. So you want BT and her staff gone ,how much will you contribute to the buyout.BT would be payed about a mil for her contract and now add up all the assistants contracts.Really for softball, you people are nuts.Plus bring in a name coach and assistants ,that’s a few mill more.FOR A PROGRAM THAT LOOSES MONEY.
