Yeah, Lorenz is a first yr player on a big stage so I kinda classify her as a freshman, I generally think transfers are boom are bust! Looking at others around the country that generally do very well or very poorly. Hopefully in yr 2 they will be better. The biggest difference this yr vs last is the AA hitters haven’t performed at close to the same level. For example, Edwards had a huge chance to put the game out of reach yesterday but hit into double play. That’s the difference between winning and losing

If Beth is mediocre what is the other schools in the SEC other than OU, Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Bama?

The game should have been over up 2-0 bases loaded 1 out and Tori Edwards grounds into routine double play. T6 they had shockey on 3rd and runner on 1st 1 out ball hit hard right back to Heavener and instead of going to 2nd to start a easy double play she glances at shockey who is half way and then throws it to first to get a out. Bergeon gets hurt on the play so Lorenz came into catch and McKee to left, ball is hit to McKee and she dives in front of her and ball gets away for 2 runs.. that’s how the final was 4-2. We had them on the ropes until Tori Edwards gets jammed again and hits soft ground ball for double play.

Who has passed them by that wasn’t already better? Florida, Tennessee, Bama have always been better, Oklahoma the best in the country for a long time, Texas always equal to or better than LSU. A&M ? Lost in a regional as the number 1 seed last yr. The program took a dip no doubt however recruiting has been on the upswing with highly recruited players coming in the next 2 yrs. Players Oklahoma, Florida, Texas and Tennessee offered. Heavener and Cellura are getting better and both return, only grads of note are catcher and CF..the program is on the upswing!

No attention to detail on baserunning, the last one is inexcusable the ball is in front of the runner! If that ball gets through u walk to 2nd, obviously Beth doesn’t value detail! The ground ball to SS a 7 yr old would have made that play, she got lazy and thinks she good enough to get it with glove. As good as hitters as she is she is a pedestrian defender because she has lazy mechanics…it’s not capacity it’s laziness! If they don’t host they gonna look back at this game. It was a poorly coached game as well, bunting to get to a slapper ( .170 hitter) is just awful, they needed to get to the 2-3 hitters not the 9-1 hitters who had about 3 hits all weekend. It was a poorly coached poor game all around

Agreed, that still favors LSU who has the better lineup 1-9 but doesn’t guarantee anything
