re: SuperFlex Rookie Mock Draft
Posted by LSUbub12 on 4/29/25 at 11:14 am
I think you nailed the different tiers. The hardest is deciding on how’d you pick 8-14.
I pick 1.07 and 1.10 in my draft.
I’ll take the whoever falls out of the top 7.
At 1.10, I really need a rb so I hope one of Johnson or Harvey falls. Outside of those 2, I’d probably go egbuka knowing I’d have to be patient. I think he’s going to hit eventually and with confidence. I’m good at qb and te long term bc I kind of think ward falls to me at 1.07 in my league.

I’m 34 and the wife 32. We have a 3 and one year old. I hope we’re done!
Children are so expensive.
I’m already tired at 34, couldn’t imagine a newborn at 40.
I feel early 30’s was a good time for us to have our children as we were more secure in our careers and financially better off than in our 20’s.

re: Post draft…Kaleb Johnson or RJ Harvey
Posted by LSUbub12 on 4/27/25 at 1:41 pm
I’ll assume ppr.
I’d say Harvey bc Denver has really nothing at rb and we all love Sean Peyton RBs.
Kaleb was the higher rated rb but went a round lower and not to an as good spot.
Kaleb’s receiving skills are unknown/lacking and Pitt has a great 3rd down receiving back in Warren.
Again I’d say Harvey.

I play in super flex with a te premium.
Judkins is probably 1.03 and ward 1.04.
Henderson 1.05.
WRs and TEs from the first then go along with the Denver rb as far as dynasty rookie first round.

Take jeanty.
Pete loves his workhorse RBs.
Jeanty is also a better talent than Hampton.
Don’t overthink it.

Just wanted to clarify, It’s been a hybrid schedule for years.
Most have been doing 3 days in office and 2 at home. Some have been a 4/1 ratio.
State workers haven’t been completely at home since 2020 or early 2021.

Exceptions to every rule but wasn’t Purdy Mr. Irrelevant in 2022?

Taking LSU games out of it, Texas tech over Texas in 2008 was one of the best games I ever watched.

My father in law is from natchitoches and a lot of his buddies that were still living there were extras in the movie.
For a dramedy, it has a bunch of hilarious scenes most centered around Drum and Quiser.

re: 1923 season two (SPOILERS)

His brother John was the little boy in 1883. He was 5.
Spencer was likely born around 1888 bc he was a little boy in the flashbacks to 1893 from Yellowstone.
Of course TS has messed that storyline as well.
In S1 when Spencer first met Alex, he said he was 5 when the maneaters of Tsavago were killed. That happened in 1898.
So who knows his age?!

re: What is The Worst Job You've Ever Had?
Posted by LSUbub12 on 4/9/25 at 11:50 am
In high school, spent a summer working maintenance at a cemetery which was basically weed eating around headstones from 8-4 every single day.
Made decent money for being 17 but that sucked.
In college, spent a summer working at a warehouse without a/c.
Those 2 jobs made sure I finished college and got a cushy desk job indoors.

re: What does the mortgage rate decline have to be to benefit refinancing?
Posted by LSUbub12 on 4/8/25 at 2:59 pm
Mines at 6.875% and locked in October 2023.
I’m pretty sure we won’t entertain refinancing until it would drop to 5.5%.
I’m hopeful to see low 5’s again in next few years.
When we refinanced our old home in 2021, we had 26 years left. It didn’t go back to 30, it just kept going with the new rate built in.

Season 1 was great and they totally botched season 2 even though it was still entertaining.
We spend a whole season of Spencer and Alex traveling and get 5 minutes of them back together?
Spencer and Alex’s chemistry were the main part that made S1 so great.
And yes Cara and Alex would’ve been great together. I feel so robbed.
This last episode still felt rushed even though it was 2 hours.
I’ll concur that TS really stinks at wrapping up shows.

re: Tangled is a great movie

Tangled is awesome and I didn’t it watch it until I became a parent.
The frozen slander just reeks of parents who had to watch it 3,754 times.
Frozen is great and I do think frozen 2 is a slightly better movie especially from the storyline. The frozen soundtrack is legendary though.

re: What the frick happened to Colorado?
Posted by LSUbub12 on 3/25/25 at 3:22 pm
Even though Colorado and Wyoming are located right by each other, Wyoming’s weather is way harsher than Colorado’s. Unless companies start moving there, the population won’t boom. It’s too dang cold for all that.
That said Wyoming is safe from California infiltration.

re: Nutria in Pond
Posted by LSUbub12 on 3/24/25 at 1:34 pm
I’d try to get rid of it.
Yes, they won’t eat your fish but they’ll eat the surrounding vegetation which can lead to erosion and poorer quality water from increased runoff.
Additionally, do nutrias dig?
If they do and you have a levee or damn, then you definitely want to remove it.

With all the crap and bad luck Spencer and Alex have endured, they better give them a happy ending. I’ve touched on it before but given their respective journeys, I hope John, Casey, and Tate come from their line.

Just curious why is the public and private land so checkerboarded to begin with?
I know that’s going off on a tangent but I’m curious.
