A tight rope procedure on his ankle

LINK

I think this is the same procedure Hurts had last year 2 weeks prior to the LSU game. He was out for the LSU game, and he was hobbled.

Check out this short video. Clearly shows the high ankle injury, and the tight rope surgery Saban said Tua had... also says 6 to 12 weeks before patient can bear weight on the ankle.

6 - 12 weeks is inaccurate. He'll be walking in a few days, possible back to practice in a couple weeks. It's not inconceivable that he plays against LSU, although he won't be 100%.

Did Tua's mom come running out to the stands like she does every time he gets hurt? Speaking of Hurts, they no longer have Jalen to cover for him.

LSU will beat bama and the excuse will be because Tua was banged up.

Then a 1 loss bama will slide into the playoffs and the excuse will be now that Tua is healthy it’s hard to argue that bama is not one of the four best teams in CFB.

Video of Andrews Institute doc in Birmingham says this procedure is a 3-4 week return to play. This guy may have done the actual surgery.

It’s plausible. It’s possible.

Thanks! I hate it.

He's going to play against LSU

InsecureU is trying to pull the same stunt they did last year with Tua "playing on one leg" bullshite.

Yup, but does the REC have the power to refuse an undefeated Clemson over a one loss Bama? That’s some serious pull given they are the defending champions.

So I guess it’s all but done.

Didn’t he have this once before?

Based on what?

The info I posted is from the Southern California Orthopedic Institute who has a working relationship with the company that developed the Tight Rope procedure.

Can they drug him up and trot Tua out there? Sure.

6-12 weeks is for the fracture (video shoes tightrope in addition to plates and screws).

Just a tightrope for a high ankle sprain, you can weight bear immediately.
