Talk of amputation is just fear mongering for clicks. The article had two doctors who haven’t examined her or even seen her X-rays speculate that she could need an amputation. Could she end up there? Sure, you can have complications with any surgery but there’s nothing unusual about her treatment. An external fixator is standard treatment for tibial plateau fractures where there is concern about swelling. It looks like she had a fasciotomy for compartment syndrome which is more concerning but even that will typically heal well. It requires additional surgery to clean the wounds and eventually close the skin. Multiple surgeries does not suggest she has had complications, it’s just how you treat these injuries. Her Olympic days are over but let’s not get her fitted for a prosthetic leg just yet.

That's not her xray. I don't believe her xrays have been posted anywhere, but based on the treatment she's had I suspect she has a tibial plateau fracture - involving the upper part of the tibia into the joint.

Hard to use solar power if it's always on the dark side of the earth. And cooling will be an issue even on the dark side. There is no convection or conduction heat loss in a vaccum, just radiative cooling which is very inefficient.

Our defense was arse last year. We had to be more aggressive on offense because there was no chance of our defense getting a stop when we needed it.
If you could hear it then probably bad bearings. Could try to change those out and see if it fixes it, would be a LOT cheaper.

American standard slimline from Costco. It’s 1.25 hp, all stainless grinder, cost is $109.

It’s around 35k with sub 1% interest, but they can’t get it until I think the 3rd year.
I think with the concerns about our o line holding up against their d line, his skillset wasn’t a great fit with the gameplan to get the ball out quickly

I make my own. I have very salty sweat so if I'm outside working or exercising I need a lot of electrolytes.
1 tsp table salt
2 tsp lite salt
1 tsp baking soda
That gives you 4164 mg sodium and 700 mg potassium.That's pretty close to 4X LMNT and I mix that in a gallon of water. I like the baking soda because of the bicarbonate buffer, but you could just do another 1/2 tsp table salt and get the same sodium. It doesn't have magnesium but I take a daily multivitamin that has it.
I also add about 1/4 cup sugar per gallon. It tastes better, can help with absorption of electrolytes, and also provides energy for your excercise/athletic activity. You can leave it out if you want. I flavor it with basic kool-aid packs, the kind with no sweetener. It's also optional if you want to be more natural but it tastes better.
One other thing to watch out for with any of these high electrolyte drinks is you can get close to having a hyperosmotic solution which can lead to osmotic diarrhea, similar to when you drink the bowel prep solution for colonoscopy. I think some people are more sensitive to it, but you could always dilute with more water which should help.

There is a company out of Texas called waycoolpool that makes replacement lights. I had leaking colorlogic lights and these worked great to replace the pool and spa lights at about half the cost. They are completely sealed with clear epoxy so I don't think leaking should be an issue. Hopefully it doesn't cause any long term issues from heat retention, but they have a pretty beefy metal base that should make a good heat sink. So far they work and look great but I had to add an outdoor box near the pool equipment to house the control module.

I've done mine. I don't understand why everyone is set against it. Yes it can be dangerous but so is a chainsaw, you just have to be careful. The process is fairly simple if you are the least bit handy, just go slow and deliberate when winding the springs. When I ordered the replacement spring it came with 2 bars to do the winding. I felt safer with that rather than trying to rig my own. The biggest risk would be if one of the bars slipped out and released all of the tension at once.

If you go to an Ikon resort like Steamboat get the session pass but be aware that Mardi Gras is the same week as President's Day this year, so that Saturday and Sunday will be blacked out for the session pass.

Just had the same thing happen, broke a 40 and a 50. The set was purchased in 2008 and I didn't have the receipt but had the original warranty card that I never mailed in. The sent replacements out for free.
My first guess was racism.
