We beat Auburn and then Bama.....and aubie turns around and beats Bama in the Iron Bowl....problem solved!

Agreed, but I wouldn't be surprised if they trot him out there....if they do A) He won't be near 100 B) His mobility will be very limited C) One good twist of that ankle from a tackle or him rolling it will put him out for the game

Is this the other ankle? He had this procedure down last year

Then a 1 loss bama will slide into the playoffs and the excuse will be now that Tua is healthy it’s hard to argue that bama is not one of the four best teams in CFB.
a one loss Bama, whose only loss is to the #2 team in the country, is going to get into the CFB regardless.

They aren’t going to put them in over an undefeated OHio State, OU or even Clemson

They're back up ain't bad. We'll still have to bring our A game pound the rock to take pressure off of Borrow. Saban is gonna throw the kitchen sink at Borrow.

Even though it's the most unpopular opinion in tRant, this is exactly why I want to play and beat Bama at full strength.
when you are playing Bama, you are always playing them plus the refs, so I would take whatever edge we can get

if all three of those teams are undefeated and LSU is undefeated, and Bama has one loss, then Bama isn't getting in with or without Tua

Refs gonna have to work extra hard to earn that Bama Booster money now

Tua will be 100% for LSU game. He had the procedure on other ankle last year after SEC game and was able to play in playoffs.

Only difference is this year Tua has his sights on NFL and a potential no. 1 draft pick. That is is future, not an SEC conference game.

Well it would be hard to argue that Bama isn’t one of the best 4 teams. It sucks but it’s the truth. The committee is supposed to pick the 4 best teams and a 1 loss Bama without their star QB would be completely justified.

If you think he's going to be out for us your are being gullible. Ssban is the master at this. LSU better damned well prepare for Tua.
Posted on 10/20/19 at 1:58 pm to elcid
what we will have going for us is that this will be the most closely watched game of the season, so refs will be under the microscope, much harder for them to work their magic for Bama
very important for LSU admin, Orgeron, fans et al., to call out the refs prior to this game to a degree that the national media makes it a story, in order to insure that the SEC offices know that they will be operating under a microscope

Brazil, agreed but who do you leave out in that scenario. It seems like Clemson is the weakest of the bunch, but he optics of leaving out Clemson to put in a 1-loss Bama would be terrible since Clemson destroyed them last year.

20 days is cutting it close to be able to play but I assume Dr. Andrews did the surgery so he had the very best working on him. He won’t be near 100% that’s a certainty so would you rather a hobbled Tua or a healthy Mac Jones? Jones is no pushover he has played well when he’s seen the field and he’s got plenty of big game experience. Still if Tua plays then we have to pressure him every snap to make him move on that ankle.

not over 4 no loss teams, who are all conference champions, and are name brand teams LSU, Oklahoma, Ohio St. and Clemson. Who you going to leave out? The undefeated SEC champ who beat them? The undefeated ACC and returning national champs? the undefeated Big 10 and big 12 champs? It's not happening.
now if one of those teams has a loss, then a one loss Bama will get in

My son had this surgery in high school, and I work in this field. 3 weeks would really be pushing it, and would put his career at risk. I don't think they will push this hard.
