He did! We had the chance to watch him in Pensacola two years ago. I brought my sons down to talk with him before the game, and immediately noticed how much muscle he put on. He looked much bigger, but very balanced... in other words, not too much muscle to negatively impact his movement, agility, etc.

He was one of the more naturally looking baseball players that I can remember. Just made it look easy.

Between that and Barbier's play, Stanford had to be incredibly frustrated.

Will forever be remembered for that play. I can remember being bummed with his batting average and offensive production was at a game earlier in the year and a more savvy fan explaining how good his on base percentage was . Obviously his glove was always elite but that play is arguably the most important play in Tiger baseball history.
