re: Buying LSU baseball jerseys?

I saw some yesterday in Dick’s, and that was here in S.F., Alabama. They looked nice, but they are expensive.

Didn’t Dedan Thomas, Jr. come from the portal?
This was very well put together. Good research, bro! Thanks!

Kinda like the hat?

If he comes, you know somebody will make these custom hats and sell them for our next home game against Ole Miss.

I also left out: “Jaden Daniel’s”. Shame on me.

I wonder if Layne Kiffen likes crawfish

Why would he not? I mean, Coach Nick Sabian and Coach Paul Mainieriri liked them. And… so did Joe Burrows.

Layne Kiffen isn’t a Pre Madonna. He will come in and establish an offence that is very dominate.

Did I leave out any other of the Rant’s favorite botched words?

Ever see Mark Mangino? You could land a helicopter on his back. When he would wear the Kansas jacket in their red color, he looked like the Kool Aid man.

The reports that the announcement will come early in the day solidifies that the decision is already made. If he was actually waiting to make a decision tomorrow, it wouldn't be made early in the day. He's coming to BR

THIS! It’s clear that he’s already made up his mind. What was he supposed to do? Announce it to the sideline reporter while he’s still down on the field? Right before he goes into the locker room to be with good team? And then go experience constant harassment while wearing his son’s game? Of course not.

Yes, if he were really torn, he would take more time. Instead, he just weaved himself to an easier/safer time and location to make his announcement.

If he were returning, he had the perfect time and environment to make that announcement and fire everyone up. But he didn’t…

I think it’s pretty clear.

Heck yes!!

I bring my family to many games there every year. There was a good LSU contingent last year to see Tre Morgan when the biscuits came to town. People from Mobile and Baldwin Co. would drive over for sure. It’s a really nice ballpark. Would be a great idea!

Then we'll hire a different coach and move forward

This. And the fact that Kiffin will really have soured relationships around Ole Miss. Yeah, they’d take him back, but the way he has strung them along will leave behind permanent embitterments all through their program.

His man has been targeted 25 times on the season. Those passes have gained just 80 total yards, and only five have come in the past two games.

This is incredible.

What is more incredible is when dumbass Mike Shula tried to pick on Delane late in the last game. They tried going deep on him, which of course didn't work. Then, for the life of me I'll never know why, they tried to isolate him on that 4th down play. I laughed at the stupidity of that. I guess Mike Shula is still going to Mike Shula.
A friend of mine is their D-line coach. He says that Gunner, of course, is receiving tons of attention, but that they as a family haven't said anything yet pertaining to where he wants to go.

Have y'all seen our OL?

You apparently haven’t seen ours.
We got to see him here the season before last. We go to a lot of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos games (AA affiliate of Miami). We got to see Cam come in for a little relief. He was consistently throwing 101. He would usually have the first guy swing and miss. Usually the 2nd pitch might be fouled off as the batter was trying to start catching up to his timing. Then with a 0-2 or 1-2 count, Cam would throw a filthy slider and would strike out the batter. He did this to like 6-7 straight batters before they replaced him. You could tell that he was on a fast-track to The Show. Glad to see him getting there now!

Great, but I can give you 8 reasons why I wouldn't trade my program for yours.

Jacob Berry Always surprised he's not in the show. Dude looked like a major leaguer at the plate in college.

I think he’ll be there soon. He’s rated as one of their top prospects and they are looking to move him up.

He struggled mightily in the beginning of his AA campaign. He started hitting much better on the back half of the season, and was subsequently promoted.

He also struggled a ton defensively. He made many glove errors, and occasional throwing errors from third. He also looked very stiff and wasn’t at all agile to the ball. He did seem to improve a little more, defensively, as the season went on. I’m not sure if he still projects at 3B or maybe they’ll try him at RF or DH in The Show once he gets there. Someone like Project may know.

That was our experience with Tre last season. We had a chance to see him in Pensacola when he was playing with the Mont. Biscuits. He saw my kids' LSU gear, and came over and talked with them. He took a good bit of time to talk with them, sign balls and a mini helmet for my son, and took photos. Very nice young man. It made an impression on all of us.

Similarly with Jacob Berry. He was playing with our Blue Wahoos. After a game, my kids lined up for autographs. I gave a quick "Geaux Tigers" and he looked up with a huge smile, ear to ear, and pointed at us and said: "Yeah man! Geaux Tigahs!" He then came over to sign for my kids, and talked with us a bit. You can tell he had a tremendous amount of LSU pride, which was great being that he was only with us for a short time.

I can't wait to watch both of these guys in The Show, hopefully very soon!

:geauxtigers:
YES! Of all the guys in the portal, this was the one I was probably most hopeful for. I think with Yeskie working with him, he can be great.
