Tre Morgan is raking

Through just three games since coming off the IL for Triple-A Durham, Morgan is batting .455, with 3 HRs and 7 RBIs. Looking forward to seeing another Tiger get his shot at the bigs.

Tre’s play edges that one out for me. Way more rare type of play… fast thinking… executed perfectly. I thought immediately that it looked like a honey badger type play on the baseball diamond.

Tre's problem is that Aranda and Diaz are in front of him and aren't going anywhere.

These two plays in the 2000 CWS Finals. Ray Wriight gets mentioned a good bit, but the Blari Barbier diving stop on the 3B foul line and throw across the diamond shouldn't be forgotten.
Both plays are back to back in this video. 3:20 and 3:30 mark.

Will always love what he did for that ‘23 team.
His play against WF may be one of the greatest defensive baseball plays of all time.

What's also neat about this play is that Millazo said in the post game celebration " we practice that play all the time". Speaks again to the kind of detail CJJ employs in his coaching.

Need him to chill so he’s still on the team in a couple weeks when the bulls come to my town. Missed crews by a week or so

Wright's was slightly more difficult because he is running back to track the ball and jumped to catch is backhanded in the stands.
On top of that, it was in a championship game that ended up being decided by one run.
Tre's play was legendary, but you guys are letting the recency bias take over a tad. Wright's catch was immaculate.

He has no direct path to playing time in Tampa unless someone gets hurt. He hasn’t been playing the OF at all this year.

Agreed, I mean is the game over right then and there if Ray does not make that catch? It was on Tre's play.
And I'd add I think Tre's degree of difficulty was greater. I think their are other outfielders that year that could make the game Ray made, I doubt there was another first baseman out there that makes the play Tre made.

Milazzo doesn’t get enough credit for that catch and tag. It was a beautiful thing to see live.
