Tim Brando apparently thinks Coach Jones couldn't get enough talent to LSU

Shame it didn't work out for Johnny Jones at LSU. He loves that school. Sadly, he couldn't get enough players that felt as he did. Too bad.
interdasting. most of the criticism for Coach Jones was on his coaching and not his recruiting.

I don't read that as he couldn't recruit. I read it as he couldn't find enough guys who loved LSU as much as he does/did

Brando thinks he recognizes things others do not and will not hesitate to remind us.

Brando loves spewing shite on twitter and then when people call him out, he acts so offended.
It's not like LSU became the first team in the century to not make the tournament with the top overall draft pick.

Tim Brando is the worst hack of all time. I hope his eternal purgatory is in F-ing Shreveport

Tim Brando wants to be included in everything LSU so badly

Jones was a control freak who wouldn't let his Asst's help him do his job.

If I lived in Baton Rouge I wouldn't be throwing rocks at Shreveport.

He had 5 NBA players in the last 3-4 years, with Blakeney possibly being another. That's pretty good talent.

I don't see where Brando says they couldn't get enough talent. CNN level title phrasing.

You mean south Arkansas?

I thought he did a decent job his first year with his least talented roster Trent left him.
Last year had Hornsby been healthy they make the NCAA tournament, he was the difference maker on that team.
This year, losing Victor hurt and the lack of post play was clearly evident. Once Reath would go out they had no defensive answer. Epps is not a post player and they had no depth, Jones should have recruited to that void and he didn't.

Talent helps offense. That wasn't LSUs problem. They needed defense.
Defense requires team play and reflects directly on coaching.
Recruit offense. Teach defense.

What teams out-talented LSU in the SEC?
Kentucky obviously
Every other team is just kind of jumbled in there.

Who cares what that drunk has been thinks. He's falling into obscurity and has always hated LSU.

except he's usually right....not all the time but, usually. The problem most coaches have today are the players. If one is any good....shows any promise and is 6' 7" and above some pimp sports agent is there to fill his head full of NBA grandeur. Or some lying p.o.s. NBA scout tells these kids that they can make it to the NBA after their freshman season

Brando was a big jones guy when Johnson was fired. He's hardly an impartial source when it comes to johnny jones.

You wouldn't think so given how clueless he always looked on the sideline and how little input he seemed to give the players. If was a control freak, he did an excellent job at controlling the suckage and keeping it consistent.

That's so dumb. Does Brando think all the one-and-dones at schools like Kentucky love their school? Doubtful, and yet they have no trouble winning.
