Once we beat Bama I knew we had it. I actually expected LSU to possibly drop a game before the NCG. But.... We were a lock for the playoffs even with a loss. I knew that team would take care of business in the playoffs.

I think the team knew as well. They sorta sleepwalked through Ole Miss and R kansas. They hit stride during the A$M game and never looked back.

When Clyde carried half of Bama's front 7 for a first down near the end of the game then scored shortly after. There was no stopping us at that point and if we could manhandle that defense the way we did I knew nobody else would beat us.

That game wasn't as close as the score indicated. We had our way with them the entire game.

I thought we could win it all after going to Bama and skull dragging them in the first half, then going blow for blow in the second.

I knew we would win it all after the first half against OU. There was a lot of doubt over whether we would beat OSU or Clemson (both looked like elite teams the entire year). But when we started destroying OU, I knew we were in a class by ourselves.

After beating Auburn.
They had a great defense that was perfectly aligned(personnel and scheme) to slow us down.

I had a feeling this team was special when we scored on 3rd and 17. But after Bama I knew they were going to win a championship

When Trevor Lawrence fumbled lol.

Come on - we were all secretly expecting it to blow up at any moment.

Burrow gets a ton of credit for the Bama win, and deservedly so, but Clyde drug his nuts all over that Alabama defense that day.

Clyde would be a legend for ever just fo you that game alone.

When I realized that Alabama had no way of stopping us on offense. Hat tip to Bama... this hardly ever happens.

I knew the season would be amazing after 3rd and 17.

I knew we’d make the playoffs after Tuscaloosa

I was super confident after UGA and OU.

But if I’m being honest…I let doubt creep in when Clemson got up early in the NCG.

opening drive against bama

could: the dime to left side of the field....forget who it was thrown to. but it opened up field position on our first drive after the tua fumble.......i was like shite, we can complete passes vs bama.

could part 2: same drive, the TD pass....its like wow, we can pass and score on them.

would: Clyde's shoestring string catch to get that 1st after bama grabbed some momentum. once Clyde got that 1st, and we scored, i knew joe wasn't going to let that lead go away.

3rd and 17... because that's not something LSU has ever been able to do. And we always said... if we can just get a good offense... we would run the table.

Of course I had no idea we would be a historic offense.

Would... First half of OU game

I knew after the 3rd and 17 that we were seeing something different than we had in the past. shite was on a different level.

After that we started steamrolling everybody. After the Florida game I knew sky was the limit.

Clyde’s first half TD close to half time vs Bama, I knew we were the best team in the country.
