When you look back on that Texas game we remember Joe’s grest QBing but out D was terrible as was our conditioning. That problem in game 1 continued in 2020 and 2021.
The Texas game was not a good game for the D. We made their QB and WR look like AAs. They weren’t.
When we beat Bama in Tuscaloosa we knew we had a great team even though we gave up too many big plays. Our O was so good, we didn’t have to shut down teams anymore more.

When we were up 33-13 on Bama. I thought we were going to win that game like 45-28. We just looked too damn good. What sealed the championship win 1 million percent for me is when we beat UGA 37-10 because we had just seen our defense step up big time 2 games in a row, one vs a top tier team. You couldn't tell me shite anymore.

I thought we could after the first game. I knew we would after we beat Alabama, especially after I watched CEH spin and buffalo through Alabama defenders and make them look like chumps on his way to the end zone.
