Could: after we beat Alabama.

Would: after we stomped mudholes in UGA and Oklahoma. That's when I knew for sure

Could: When we drove all the way down the field at ease after Tua’s fumble and this happened.

Would: When the clock struck 0 in the dome. That’s just how I am though.

Clyde drug his nuts all over that Alabama defense that day.

#15! I just noticed in a previous post that #15 was the nearest defender on Clyde's TD right before half. He was also the victim of both spin moves - one for a critical first down on LSU's first drive and the other for a TD.

As silly as it might sound, the opening game against Northwestern really opened my eyes. Not saying it made me think we could or would win it all, but it just felt different. That's a team we would have traditionally maybe sleepwalked against and won something like 38-14. But we absolutely dismantled them and the offense just looked like it was on a different level.

As far as could/would... Could - 3rd and 17 at UT. Would - beating Bama. I just didn't think there was any other team that could threaten us.

It was more about the play calling though. It was a gigantic frick you that we went down an took more points. In every other season in recent memory (going back probably a couple decades), we would have sat on the ball and gone to half.

Nobody was sitting on the ball in the red zone.

Clyde's TD at the end of the 1st half against Bama.

This. 3 and 17 will forever been an all time memorable play, but it would not have mattered if we lost to Bama.

It was the 4th quarter TD pass that I knew we would win. Teared up pretty damn good in the dome for the one.

After we beat the snot out of Georgia at home.

Burrow had 200 yards passing.
CEH and Burrow had 200 yards rushing.

Jamar Chase TD against Bama.

That was huge. It showed CLEARLY up front and early we were there to win a football game. Not like past seasons Bama, not today. Not today!

After I went to the opening game, I placed my bets on LSU to win the championship, and Burrow to win the Heisman.

I won't say 3rd and 17 because it was such a close game and the defense seemed vulnerable. Though it's one of my all time favorite moments in LSU football.

Probably the Florida game was what made me realize that this team could win it all. After bama, it was almost a certainty.

The Texas game. Texas fought like hell. LSU showed toughness and poise. The second half was awesome football in my opinion.

I agree with you. After we finally beat Bama that year I said this could be the year. We always had that Bama stigma Hanging over us.

After the Bama game for sure, but I was still a little nervous thinking if Bama gets in, it’s so hard to beat THEM twice, but after Auburn took out Bama I knew it, no stopping the Tigahs
