Sitting in a critical care hospital room last night instead of the east side of the stadium was a game I will never forget. With my brother, sister, and mom, we watched one last game with my dad who passed away tonight. Every touchdown cheer he would squeeze a hand, as he couldn’t speak anymore. Thank you Lane and LSU for sending my dad off with an incredible performance that my family will have to remember for the rest of our lives!

Sorry for your loss, man. I’m glad you were able to cherish this moment with your dad one last time. What a memory.

Sending prayers your families way. I think football means a lot to us because of the people we are watching it with moreso than the game itself. Yesterday's game wouldn't have meant anything to your dad if you guys weren't there to watch it with him.

Wow. Man, you just got me in my feelings.

I'm so very sorry for your loss and I'm sending prayers to you and your family.

Happy your dad was able to watch one more LSU game and experience it with you. I guarantee you that meant a lot to him.

I know it's difficult. I miss my dad every day. Especially this time of year. He was a huge LSU fan too.

Hang in there, buddy.

God Bless Your Family. I know the special time LSU can bring to a family.

My Dad died late last year and my fondest memories were in the early 1960's when i was 3 of when my family would sit together near our console stereo when LSU was playing. LSU football was and still is my Saturday night.

My dad was a high school football coach in North Louisiana. Back then you might see them on TV once a year. I somehow miss hearing John Ferguson on the radio and our family time together. My love for LSU started then and has been a constant in my life since.

I promise you will carry your dad with you always and your love of LSU together. It doesn't go away.

Prayers to you and your family on your loss.

Damnit, man. I wasn’t expecting this gut punch opening this thread.

You will always remember this game and getting to share it with him.

Sorry for your loss.

Beautiful. Thank you for your post.

God’s peace and comfort be with you and your family.
LSU and our faith in Him have so many incredible parallels.

Prayers that you find love, peace and joy in the midst of your grief.
