That's another program that's in need of some changes. May do well enough to make the postseason but when facing better competition they either can't hit or to keep up or cant pitch to stay in it. Torina has done okay but it's beyond time to step it up.

Only thing that gives me hope about this team going on a run is the hitting. This team is built a lot like 2008 with a lot of hitting and not much pitching.

To make matters worse, that was their worst finish at SECs in over a decade

I have no hope if we keep playing guys like Bianco and Cooper in the biggest moments.

I agree - it’s a tough loss. Absolutely

Definitely deserve better coaching. He won't last long here I'm predicting.

All I know is Johnson’s making all of the wrong moves so it can only go up from here

Our season may turn in if Money is good and just wasn’t 100% tonight or if he’s not that good.
Then we’re just fricked.
Hilliard isn’t a Friday night starter.
Johnson seriously inherited a rough staff.

The pinch hitting is so weird

Bianco didn’t play and the pitcher who threw tonite in the biggest spot was Fontenot.
But blaming one or two guys fior this debacle is absurd. We struck out 15 times, we had three different IFers botch plays, the catcher missed a third strike and we walked at least ten batters.

Just an opinion here that y’all won’t agree with or even see because the games been over. I’ll say it anyway, I’m not nearly as concerned with Thompson as everyone else.
He’s hitting pretty damn good and he really didn’t get much of a pre season at all.
As far as fielding, he’s making a lot of the tougher plays and even though he’s not really getting it done in the field , he’s made a major improvement since the first few weeks of the season.
If Thompson continues to improve on n the field little by little then he will be above average in a couple series from now.
Jay will start merrifield at 3rd or switch him out with doughty at second and put berry in at dh I’m guessing.
If we have another bad game on defense tomorrow then I believe he won’t be able to ignore that massive elephant in the room.
The hitting is still top 3 ish in the conference behind Kentucky and Tennessee, stat wise and eye test I believe.
Bullpen has been better when we have guys starting that pitch better and eat up innings. Starting pitching needs to be experimented with and will be , I believe.
Not even close to ready to give up on this team but we need to win tomorrow with Hilliard pitching like his last outing. Win convincingly tomorrow and then win the midweek game and take that momentum into the Florida series .
Try to figure out the starting rotation a little bit more in the next two games.
Just win tomorrow and we’re still ok guys

I feel like we all said this like 2 weeks ago and nothing has changed

What makes you believe this? He hasn’t experimented with the starting pitching at all this year except for sitting one of our most experienced ones, for whatever reason.

Sitting in my basement in Indy Friday night. Totally decked out in LSU posters and big LSU light over the pool table. LSU Basketball on the big screen - LSU Baseball streaming on my Macbook Air. Pathetic. I will NOT do that again!

I really don’t understand the need to tell strangers you aren’t going to watch anymore

This is pretty awful baseball to watch. Sad thing is, sitting going into the top of the 5th feeling alright.
