They’re not but we are the golden standard now all future elite offenses/teams will be measured against. 2019 LSU is tBenchmark. Pretty nice when you think about it.

LSU's defense especially the pass defense was way better than TN this year. That would be the difference in the teams and why LSU would beat TN by a couple of TD's in my opinion.

They were better than the Tigers team they had to play, which is what matters.
We don’t even know yet if Tenn is the best team in the east yet.
Can we at least wait until a team is crowned as champion before we start asking ourselves if they belong in the category of best ever, which can never be truly determined but can be a fun conversation.

But to keep insisting that they are better than whichever team is this year’s best smacks of jealousy.
ole nimrod strikes again with dumbassery.
if you think the UT d is anywhere near what ours was and had those playmakers, you are delusional. our offense had better players also.
2019 is better than this UT team and it is not even debatable.

I’m already sick of them. Hope UGA wins

I would actually compare this Tennessee team to the 2019 Alabama team which was pretty dang good.

I think UGA will beat Tenn. UGA across the board has more talent. UGA had more talent than Bama last year and didn’t take any steps back this year from what I have seen. They will own the LOS against Tenn and win in a close game imo.

Absolutely disagree GA has a deeper more talented team playing at home they will win

Neither LSU in 2019, nor any other team, is the best of all time, because that is unknowable.
While there is some truth to your statement given the subject matter is subjective, I watched a lot of college football over the past 20 years and I NEVER saw anything like 2019 LSU.
My dad and I would do over-and-unders on how many plays it would take LSU to score on their opening drive. Not if they would score, but how many fricking plays it would take.

There isn't an LSU fan on the planet that will tell you the tigers weren't the best team of all time...me included but it's an opinion you can't prove. Best season ever? That's a fact.

They sure looked like it when they played us.

What I dont get about the comparisons is we are barely halfway through the season. These are way premature.

Who seriously thinks TN is like the 2019 Tigers???? Not even a possibility.
Posted on 11/1/22 at 11:22 am to tigah paw
2019 LSU is the GOAT CFB team of all time. There's no question. I don't think people are saying that this year's Tenn team is in that same conversation.
But, they are alike in that they both have found some sort of secret sauce on offense that teams can't seem to slow down. Some combination of scheme, personnel, and play calling. Somehow, they keep finding ways to get #11 matched up with a safety and are gashing teams with huge plays, even though the other team knows what they're trying to do.

Possible, but 10 years of evolution in the game is quite different than 25 but I get your point.
Guess that's part of the fun discussion part.

Yep. Nothing like Tigers 2019.

I think UGA wins handedly against Tennessee.
The difference between their offenses is very small but UGA has a huge advantage on defense.
Offensive YPG
Tenn - 553
UGA 530
Offensive points per game
Tenn - 49.4
UGA - 41.8
Defensive YPG
Tenn - 393.6
UGA - 262.9
Points Allowed:
Tenn - 21
UGA - 10.5
