At this point, expel us. I don’t care. We broke zero rules. We’ll go be independent and make the playoff every year.

This should get laughed right out of the courtroom.

This could work out great for LSU. Expel us, we go independent, get a TV deal, file suit for damages, and the rest of the SEC funds our NIL program for 5 years.

God forbid LSU get its swagger back within the rules.

Sounds like Sankey is butthurt from that grilling he got on the stand in court.

Isn't Thamel reporting that they're not expected to actually kick us out?

Do I want this, no. But it's only a matter of time before a super conference is formed and the SEC is obsolete.

This is the exact “the whole world hates you” narrative that CLK has obviously used to fire up this team. Thank you Sankey for adding fuel to the fire!

Put that SEC "buyout" payout into that private equity fund thing that LSU is doing with its biggest boosters. We'd be set for decades when combined with whatever deal we get with the Big 10 or as an independent.

Edit:
Actually, LSU would owe the SEC up to $45,000,000 if this happens. Not the other way around.

They better have something more than getting feelings hurt because Kiffin didn’t immediately back down when they tried to throw their weight around.

Yes Thamel reported that the SEC doesn’t intend to act on this.

This is Greg’s ego trying to posture and swing his tiny dick to get some respect back from the other conference members.

If they do kick us out, LSU will probably counter sue for collusion because we didn’t break any rules

Their accusation is that LSU actively recruited Pro players to challenge the system and return to college, not that we actually rostered them. They claim that kind of activity is explicitly against SEC bylaws.

The SEC, perhaps unknowingly, is dead set on giving Kiffin exactly what he's looking for. Going into this season, LSU undoubtedly had a target on their backs and the coaching staff and players likely felt immense pressure to live up to expectations. In the matter of two weeks, Sankey and the SEC has given Kiffin the ammo to tell the team that we are the underdogs. We are the team that nobody wants to see win. We are the team that people are watching and actively rooting to lose. We are the villains, and the team has clearly responded to the messaging. You better be careful with the narrative you push, SEC, because if you want a villain, you're about to get one.
