I'd laugh if Mike Johnson and Steve Scalise made a few calls to peers in SEC states to discuss funding issues and committee assignments if they don't get control of their university admins real quick.
We're one of 10 remaining, founding members of the SEC and we ain't leaving.
I have a hard time seeing Georgia (LSU grad AD) or any of the new members other than Aggie (out of spite/raw male cheerleader emotion) supporting an effort to kick us out of the Conference we founded. Also have a hard time seeing Saban not weighing in via backchannels with Bama officials.
Ole Miss and Tennessee are understandably sad. Whoever is advising the SEC needs to stop talking and so does Sankey.

Sankey is flirting with having the sec have to pay us, the sec losing its current media deal and having to get an even worse one because you can’t replace LSU with a similar school.

The Federal Court is likely to find the SEC has every right to hold a vote, but given the BR injunction, it has no right to enforce it.
Further, it is a wide open invitation for a Contempt citation from Jorden's court. And although exceedingly unlikely given Jorden's measured actions to this point, he could put Sankey's arse behind bars as ringleader of the actions targeting LSU.

I don’t think the judge is going to take kindly to the conference trying to circumvent his ruling.

The Big10 wants AAU schools. Nebraska was AAU when it joined. It subsequently lost that status, and stands as the only non-AAU school in the Big10. LSU has never met that standard.
Obviously it's not a geographic fit either.
The Big10 goaded Stankey into this action. Doubtful they'd reverse course and bring LSU in.
The Big12 and ACC would be major financial downscales for LSU unless courts granted a gargantuan antitrust award to LSU against the SEC.

The SEC voting to expel LSU would constitute firing the gun. The players attorneys would be in court immediately asking for a contempt citation, which would assuredly be granted barring a Federal Court stay.
The question is what teeth Jorden would put into enforcing the citation. It's unlikely he'd jail Stankey, but I would dearly love seeing that result.
This whole thing is dystopian.
