I was 100% critical of the hire and I'm here to eat crow. He hasn't brought his CRT crap to LSU in anyway that I've seen and has begun to do the one thing I've wanted out of a president.... focus back on academics and research. As a matter of fact he has the LSU reddit screeching because he's essentially starting at zero w the budget and seems to be focused on spending on STEM which was and should be a university like LSU's bread and butter. He's got a ways to go to dig us out of the hole that F king put us in...but imo, he's making the right moves

I was at a military reception where he spoke the night before the game. First, he loves the military and understands if he can grow the Corps of Cadets into a leadership center of excellence it will benefit the University and the military. Second, he predicted that LSU would win by 3, LSU 34 Bama 31. He was close. He’s going to be an excellent president for the university.

Definitely agree lots of criticism about his hire originally and all I have seen from him since is his 110% support of what Woodey has done on the athletic side of things.
Highly important Alignment to have him happy and involved.

In case it means anything to some of you, both of the Tates are active Christians and amateur Bible scholars. They are people of integrity and good character. Both are highly intelligent. I am glad our BOS took a chance on these people.

He has kept his politics in his back pocket, and for that, I have a very high opinion of him. He knows what culture he's leading here and frankly he's doing a wonderful job.
