I don’t view the FSU receivers as “great” but they were catching everything. Including an over the shoulder one handed touchdown grab while being defended/held.

He will be alright he just needs to get his head out of his arse (like most people have to do at some point). I think he’s been humbled, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but will come out doing what he’s capable of from here on out…

Well it definitely wasn't Daniels fault. Both passes were on the money

I would be willing to bet a large sum of money that Boutte would say he should have made that first catch and that was part of his frustration from Game 1.

That said, time to move on. My money is on him to have a really good year.

Que? Ball was placed the only spot it could’ve been caught. He’s supposedly the strongest WR w/ the strongest hands. Gotta be stronger there.

On the 2nd one, dude just quit. That’s unacceptable

If he doesn't drop passes later in the game nobody remembers the first one. That first one was tough but he should have hauled in at least 1 TD that night. If you are going to sleep on RED ZONE PLAYS you better catch the tough ones when they are in your grasp...

Wrong. The first pass was totally catchable. In fact, he had it in his hands until he hit the ground.
And I like Boutte….a lot,….and don’t think he will drop many of those. But he dropped that one. The second one he wasn’t looking for….just that simple.

If he threw it any further it would have gone out the back of the end zone. Boutte got both hands on the ball. That's on him.

The first one was broken up and won’t be listed as a drop anywhere but the Rant.

I thought the first one in endzone was a straight drop...he caught the ball funny and just couldn't hold on.

The first TD pass attempt was under thrown and not a reasonable catch to expect a receiver to make, even a great one. People are simply hating on the kid for things that weren’t his fault.
was it reasonable to expect the #1 ranked draftable wr in the country to haul that in? Hell yes. Top dog receivers make that catch, period.

People are saying he should have more targets, which I agree with... However he's gotta lock in, otherwise the targets are fricking useless when you have guys like Jenkins who are completely locked in and actually want the ball.

I’m not going to pile on but Kayshon has been sitting on this egg for a while. Now that it’s hatched, he’s got to deal with it.

it certainly was contested, but Boutte got both hands on that ball.

Top WRs make that catch.

OP is basically saying only throw to boutte if he's wide open bc you shouldn't expect him to make contested catches.

Well, he had wide open passes that he dropped too.

When all your QB does is run the ball every down why run down field he’s not throwing it.

Top two receivers on LSU's roster every year make that catch easily!

Boutte has done nothing this season to justify his rep. If anything, he’s regressed on the field and distracted in the locker room.
So maybe we can slack off on all the talk about # 1 wide receiver and first round draft pick. So far, he’s a dud.
