The #5 jersey has NOT been retired. If and when it is, the jersey not the number will be retired.
Now this is funny. In 2023 Laterence Welch DB also wore #5. So Jayden Daniels had to share the number that year. You can’t make this stuff up!!

While you’re saying Pickett should give up 5 maybe anyone who previously wore it should give it up too. Just as ridiculous sounding. It’s a damn number and he had 7 losses at LSU in 2 seasons.
