Frick NO he should not! Not no but HELL no!

His number is not retired. #9 is not retired either. Grow up Daniels. You won the Heisman because of LSU. Still lost 3 games. Put #9 back in circulation as well. Stop all this nonsense. This is pro ball now. DAniels, be grateful for the opportunity provided to you by Lsu. End of story.

One had a sweep... SEC title, Heisman Trophy, and most importantly for the school... National Title!
One only accomplished 1 piece and it was the individual award. He should appreciate that LSU gave him that opportunity and be quiet. Wasn't winning shite at ASU and not everyone was beating down his door.

You should know what you speak on before you speak idiot.

he turned this into a shite show over a recruiting promise.

1. Frick you for attempting to turn this into a race issue.
2. Joe Burrow can go frick himself if whines about another player wearing the number nine jersey.
3. Retiring jersey numbers is foolish.

Shocker you are the idiot on this side

Tell Jayden , if he wins the superbowl, we will retire the number

Yeah, THAT sends a really great message. Imbecile.

It’s ridiculous he asked for the number in the first place. It shows zero respect for LSU’s history and traditions.
It is ridiculously sad that you seem emotional about such a thing. It’s between them and I couldn’t possibly care less about a jersey number.

DJ should come out with a statement graciously giving it up.

My legal advice to LSU: ignore it.
As far as the PR nightmare this idiot attorney decided to inflict on his client paying him $1,500/hr for this nonsense, Verge should reach out directly to Jayden and nip this shite in the bud. Another example of dropping a bomb when paintball would have worked.
By the way, both name partners at the law firm are Gay-turds, so there’s that. He also holds himself out as a crisis manager; he should call himself a crisis creator.

Not forced... but Pickett's camp should have enough awareness to go back to #3 and end the distraction for him and the program.
Neither Burrow, JD, and DJ arent wrong in this situation. Im sure Burrow didnt ask for that after that 2019 season.
JD and DJ both have a point. LSU made this bed, now they have to lay in it until they fix it. Never should've removed #9 & #5 without an official announcement. If LSU would have done this number retirement the correct way, it wouldnt been a negotiation topic for the Pickett's to begin with...

You’re making millions of dollars, put on whatever jersey you’re given. You had a decent freshman season, you don’t deserve to wear the number of a Heisman winner. For the clowns hating on JD5, would y’all be okay had Pickett demanded to wear #9? Yeah I didn’t think so.
Terrible take

That's the word on the street.
I never took Jayden as the type of person to do something like this. Obviously, I don't know him personally, but you always heard great things about him and the type of person he is and how humble he is/was during his time here.
The same thing can't be said for his mom, unfortunately.
Whoever it was who did this/advised him on it gave him some terrible advice. I haven't seen hardly anyone take his side on this. I'm not counting OP since he's just a troll.
Hate to see something like this happen. There's no winners in this situation.

Could not care less.
The number thing is STOOPID. I'm not a fan of retiring numbers.
Wear 20. Wear 37. Wear 9. Wear 5. Do not care.
