How does Brian Kelly get a pass here? This is his mess if his staff promises JD5 no one will wear it, while simultaneously offering one of our top recruits to wear it. It really shouldn’t be a big deal.

It’s not an issue of whether or not it’s a heisman who wore the number. It’s college, if you start retiring numbers you’re sending the message that players are bigger than the LSU brand.
