Florida has 25X as much high school talent than Louisiana and they have the Bright Futures scholarships that is similar to TOPS. When you only have 11.7 scholarships for baseball, it is imperative to build a roster with in-state players. This advantage alone can't be overstated enough. LSU typical cherry picks great out out of state players that may demand a full scholarship including the non-resident fee (out-of-state tuition differential).

well, we've played @ #2 UGA, @ #5 State, and #12 A&M. We went 5-4 in those games. Florida's SEC schedule hasn't been any tougher than basically any other SEC team to this point. Not to mention, they've been getting absolutely dismantled in games, whereas our losses to those three teams have all been very competitive games. They were completely outclassed by both Ole Miss and Vandy in all 6 games they lost.

And none of this means O'Sullivan sucks. It just proves that the "be patient, its baseball" crowd actually knows what they're fricking talking about. This board will never get it though.
