Y’all keep giving the recruits advantage, but Miami and FSU also have great programs. We recruit all over and get the best guys from all markets. What do they have that we don’t?!?

Current-day, we're all about the same (LSU, Florida, FSU, Miami), throw em in a hat. I hate saying it, but the fact is Oregon State has been more successful than any of us.

Thank you! We’re all about the same, but when it comes to making the best of the recruits we get, LSU is about even with FSU and Miami. We’re outpaced by UF. Please argue that this is wrong.

Florida has recruited and knabbed better pitchers over the last several years, and that right there has given me the red arse. So ok, O'Sulli has outrecruited Mainieri, but he's also had some extremely talented teams choke.

Fact is, UF has had the best results from the most average recruits than the other programs. That is coaching!

I can't go along with that. Their pitching talent has been off the charts. O'Sulli is a very good coach, but there simply are no more Skip Bertmans out there at this time.

This is baseball! There’s are always chokes, but since Mainieri was hired, there have been more chokes by LSU with more on the line than any other team in college baseball. With our consistent talent pull, we should have won more titles. That’s just as plain as day

Well I do wish we had won about 3 maybe 4 these last 2 decades. That's reasonable. But only Tanner won multiple titles, oh and that cat at Oregon State. We've had a good coach. O'Sulli is not much greater than what we've had, bud. You've got to accept that.

And by the way, that is not me downvoting you. I enjoy the commentary (and opinions).

Pitching is just one part of it. They’ve been outstanding in this department. Clutch hitting is the other part of the equation. They have both. We can all be ok with some games dropped midweek or a series we only get one or two wins, but to be consensus #1 and look like this...

Yes, we're looking like sh*t right now without question, but I'm holding out hope for one heck of a great finish and trip to Omaha.

the bottom line is that he's already at a program that is as capable of winning a national title each year as anyone else in the country. He's paid more than anyone else. Even if LSU were to try, UF can outbid them if they want.

Nobody has done less with more talent than O’Sullivan. Look back at who he had and how many 1st round picks they got to. One to school.

That's closer to what I was thinking. I've seen O'Sulli screw the pooch several times. He's good not great. I honestly don't know of a coach I'd really wanna run out and throw money at. I can't stand that bastard at oregon state, and the guys at virginia, tcu, and Louisville ain't any more consistent than what we got. I can't stand tim corbin at vanderbilt, and he's no Skip either. We probably gotta sit tight for now.

Watch out for Lane Borroughs at La Tech. Obviously wouldn't be ready to offer him? now but if he keeps up their success for another 5 or so years he could be a good hire.

But his arms barely make their way out of a short sleeve shirt.
