O’s ability to mesh and get recruits to love him is where he is a master . The dude is a very likable guy . Just ask his former players like Burrow etc . The young guys love him .

He brings a lot to the table, Lane wants him there, and down the road (God forbid) he can be an interim if the wheels fall off.
I don’t see much of a downside.

I’m an LSU fan. I never put a coach above the program. My money goes there every year and I can assure you it isn’t for a coach. I want LSU to be successful in every single sport. Why I’ve wanted Dennis Shaver fired for years. He is another one sucking down funds.
