re: LSU Baseball Portal Tracking

Then why did he enter the portal
Clearly just to help a random stranger asking him personal questions at a team event to pull an elaborate “gotcha” on the rant.
He was on loan so Leeds would have to buy him from Spurs. With their coaching change it sounds like they may want to take a look at him in preseason so it may not be as easy as it sounded a few weeks ago.

Nothing wrong with that.
It wasn’t an unnatural move by any means, but by the letter of the rule 8-4 (2) it was correct on the field.

ETA: Agree on the comment about the still shot above, it needs to be a frame or two later when his right knee makes contact with the bag. At that point it shows his right foot and left leg inside of it.
quote:

Milazzo’s base path was established to the right of the bag well down the line.
The rule doesn’t say anything about an established base path.

Milazzo is further outside the bag im pretty sure
Probably, but it’s a much better camera angle almost completely in line with the bases also.

Entire body…the left side of his body was in the gray area:
Yeah the camera angle being in left field is playing tricks on some people’s eyes. Just look at where he’s at on the ground when his right knee makes contact with the base. His right leg below the knee and his entire left leg was inside.
quote:

he did. He didn't slide directly into the middle of the bag, but that's not the rule.
It was the same thing Milazzo was called out on last year except on the other side of the bag.
quote:

2nd baseman gave him a path and he cheats inside cleats up
Yeah the camera angle was tricky but you could see how far inside he was when he hit the bag. His right knee was on the bag, but everything below that and his entire left leg was inside of it.
Incredible job of refocusing by that pitcher
Is there any doubt they’re going to hit a HR now?

Some of you are counting full calendar days.
”Some of you” = the entire world of baseball.

As mentioned above, if you want to get technical with the number of hours then you must also redefine what normal is.
quote:

Inevitably, it's going to be so that he can justify a decision to pitch on short rest by pretending it isn't short rest. It's coming.
It originated in the Anderson/Eyanson thread, he says if Eyanson pitched Friday it would be 5 days rest.
You can count it if you want, it’s just that no one associated with baseball counts it that way.

So if you do choose to do it then you have to tack on another day to whatever you consider “normal”. Example, Anderson pitches Friday and the following Friday for a “normal” week of 6 days rest. If you want to count the day he pitches as “rest”, which is not correct, then you would have to say his “normal” is 7 days.

Why are you not counting Friday also?
Because you specifically said:
quote:

If he throws Friday

It’s not considered a rest day if he’s pitching.

That would only be 4 days but we won’t be playing Friday anyway.

If Murray State wins today they will almost assured get the Friday 1pm

The waccoe transfer thread seems to be a bit more off the rails than usual today. Hopefully some confirmed signings happen soon.
