It's the NFL combine. They find everything.

There are 32 professional medical staffs looking at everything, not 1

So yeah they are going to find something

Maybe the MRI didn’t pick it up? And the combine doctors did something additional such as a myelogram and CT scan in that specific area.

Hope he finds relief.

So the combine doctors found something that the LSU doctors didn't?

Sounds like someone needs to be fired if that's the case

LSU's medical staff are worse than the Hospital Corpsman in the Navy; they prescribed Mortin 800 mg for everything.

Isn't this same staff getting sued by Brooks currently because they allege they messed this up as well? Might want to start taking a look at the medical staff.

A basic x-ray at a chiropractor would have found that

With his dad being a coach, you’d imagine he’d have docs to send him to during the season as well

Does a cyst make you limp around after every bad throw

I had a cyst in my right knee which caused my entire leg to swell up and the doctors originally and thought it was a blood clot causing it. Yeah it can

Are you mentally challenged? This diagnosis came at the combine, not midseason.

Sooooo, why no symptoms since December?

Did they remove the cyst? Reduce it?

An MRI of the spine will easily show a cyst. It's the most superior imaging test that would show this. Bizarre it wasn't done.

a procedure was done. Eta: no it was not removed yet.

it didn't magically go asymptomatic on its own.

The cyst was pressing on a nerve, causing discomfort in Nussmeier’s oblique. He has been asymptomatic since just prior to the Senior Bowl and all throughout the draft process; if that changes down the road, Nussmeier could undergo a minimally invasive procedure and miss just 2-3 weeks while stitches heal.

If the cyst is the cause then how has he been asymptomatic? I assume as a cyst grows it creates more and more pressure, thus more pain/symptoms. I know disc material can be absorbed/change position causing someone to be asymptomatic but is this possible with a cyst, I have no idea.

Just seems weird that after rest he's now asymptomatic with a cyst pressing on a nerve.

How does LSU not exhaust every possible option to find out what is wrong with the starting QB that they have invested millions of dollars into?

Yes. This is the obvious question. Did the cyst just shrink on its own and suddenly stop pressing on his nerve?
Timing is suspicious for this story.
