Seems like a pretty massive fail on LSU’s part if it could have been take care of that easily.
Otherwise we might see that their treatment of other elements of the injury ruled those out when symptoms persisted, leading to the current diagnosis.

Thank god they whiffed. LSU would likely still have Brian Kelly if not for the ineptitude of LSU docs.

The one thing LSU could have done is MRI's all over his mid section to look for something

I would be surprised if they didn’t, honestly.

So he was never actually injured?

Does a cyst make you limp around after every bad throw?

Yea, but posters on here and idiots like Mike Scarborough said there wasn't anything wrong with him, that he definitely wasn't injured and only faked it because he got his feelings hurt.

Why would we believe the doctors at the combine over these world class retards?

Can you not read?

The cyst was pressing on a nerve, causing discomfort in Nussmeier’s oblique.

Impossible. I was told by the rant he just sucks and/or he was faking being injured.

I wish people would just shut the frick up sometimes.

The cyst didn’t make him throw into triple coverage over and over and have next to no pocket presence for the past two years.

But yeah if that is discovered early and it is indeed that easy a fix and recovery...maybe he misses the first couple of weeks but then Kelly has an excuse for those losses, and if Nuss is himself they don't look anywhere near as bad in some of those games as they did

It seems like what you're saying without saying it is that God wanted us to get Kiffin

did you even read what was posted? The cyst is on a nerve, so yes if that cyst is putting pressure on a nerve that causes pain, it would most certainly have him in constant pain

This pisses me off so much to read. You’re telling me we could have shut Nuss down for two weeks after Clemson and let him recover?

But instead our doctors either missed it (bad look) or BK and staff ignored it (awful look) and we torpedoed the entire season.

I think someone at LSU needs to demand answers to make sure this never happens again.

Can you read the part where it says there is no short term or long term risk? So why did he sit out, exactly?

Honestly though, that sucks for Nuss. Comes back for his senior year to improve his stock and a frickin spinal cyst shows up? Don’t get me wrong, Joe Sloan and the OL probably still ruin the season but that’s just terrible luck for Garrett.

How did they find that at the combine but not LSU? I mean we’re paying the kid $5 million a year and we can’t even get him top class medical treatment? Huge indictment on our medical staff

With the kind of money LSU has at its disposal, team doctors should be required to mirror the combine doctors list of examinations and perform those on the LSU players yearly, especially for players that display injuries that don’t have obvious causes, seems like it would be best for players health and school liability.

It's the NFL combine. They find everything.
