I'm not going to put his medical info out there. I've said enough above that gives you all you need to know. But, its a very guessable procedure given the now known information that has been said by the NFL leak of combine revelation.

Is it known that LSU med staff missed it?
Maybe they found it and all parties agreed to not disclose it. I don't see why you wouldn't do an MRI with oblique pain. What if it was a tumor or cancer and they never even did a scan?
I don't see how that is possible that they would never do scans. LSU never came out with any kind of details but were intentionally vague. Did they know and Nuss and Staff agreed to not disclose and see how the year goes?
Maybe they caught too late before the season and LSU is thinking they are paying him $millions to sit out and we don't have a viable back up. Lets take a chance and Nuss believes he can do and doesn't want to sit out and is playing for his pro career.

An MRI of the spine will easily show a cyst. It's the most superior imaging test that would show this. Bizarre it wasn't done.
My MRI located two cysts on my lower spine. Been living with it. The pain comes and goes. It impacts the movement in my left foot.
I need surgery. Kind of had a medical network run around to remove them.

So they know the issue, know it would be a routine, quick fix, and are just waiting for it to flare up again to screw over whomever drafts him?
Why wouldn’t they just schedule this fix for the week or two after the draft?

Nuss couldn’t throw the ball downfield. You could tell he was wasn’t the same player. I hate that he took so much grief, but at the end of the day BK is gone.

an MRI was not done until the December timeline. Even then, i'm not even sure that it was 100% LSU affiliated based dr visits or nuss went and seen someone else at that point finally.

you couldn't tell by brian kelly's continual tantrums and bullshite back and forth answers about nussmeier all year that LSU was fricking clueless about what was going on with Garret?

Nuss is clearly in pain, not anywhere near 100%, and your medical/training staff can't find the issue.
Yet Kelly STILL trots him out there every Saturday.

Should build a statue to Nuss' for his contribution in getting rid of Woody, Kelly, Mac and bringing in Kiffin and Wade.
What a Man. What an inspirational leader.
If we win a National Championship in football or get back into NCAA Basketball Championship, we should name the trophy, the Nussmeier Award.

Maybe they did and found out something more than that cyst and never disclosed it.

If the cyst is the cause then how has he been asymptomatic? I assume as a cyst grows it creates more and more pressure, thus more pain/symptoms. I know disc material can be absorbed/change position causing someone to be asymptomatic but is this possible with a cyst, I have no idea.
Just seems weird that after rest he's now asymptomatic with a cyst pressing on a nerve.
Well, if he is getting more rest and asymptomatic with rest. Just maybe activity caused swelling or inflammation which made things compress more or worse than they would otherwise. I realize it's not exactly the same thing, but I had a fractured vertebrae in my neck from football practice. Initially I was paralyzed but as the swelling went down, I regained function in my arms and legs.

Exactly they clearly didn't know or have a clue. Because if they did, and this kind of thing comes out they would be tarred and feathered.

Was it affecting his decision making as well? Cuz thats what was driving me crazy more than his inability to make accurate down the field throws.

LSU doctors missed this.
However, I thought Nuss was injured on a play in August and he had issues ever since.
Wish him the best.

So he was able to ignore the pain for the senior bowl?

Only if it's highly contagious and spread to the entire offensive line. And special teams.

I've had this same thing. Horrible pain down my leg. Almost emergency surgery to remove cyst and stabilize vertebra. Not fun. Still have nerve damage to my foot. Not a bacterial cyst but a synovial like substance.

No he doesn't. Regardless if it was an undiagnosed or diagnosed longer term injury/illness that was clearly hampering your QB1 it was still his decision to play him and not have QB2 more prepared!
I am surprised LSU didn't find this, eventually at least. But my niece literally went years with back/leg pain to the point of needing a wheelchair at times and poor thing went countless times to the doctor and hospital for different tests and treatments before finally 1 doctor said let's check for this. After several years, age 8-13ish, with no clear diagnosis we thought that she was potentially faking it. She ended up having a cyst on her spine that was causing her pain and lack of mobility.
