Deserve doesn't have a fricking thing to do with it. That kind of thinking gets coaches fired. Recruit the best and play the best.

Our lowest YPC from our running backs was Noah Cain with 4.8.

What the frick are you talking about?

ok i really like Nuss...but its nobody's turn. This is not personal, its business..big fricking business. do what is best for the team and that is bringing in a transfer to compete and if Nuss wins the job...great

you sound just like the guys when we were bringing in borrow. "it's Myles turn, he deserves a shot!"

frick that, this is business...bring in the best you can and let the best man win. dont like it...bye!!

If Nuss is afraid of, or can't beat out competition for QB1 Do we really want him as QB1?

“Don’t bring in a transfer. Myles might leave!”

Well that’s up to the coaches and what they see and how they evaluate. Nobody “deserves” the starting job just because they’ve stayed around.

I am a bit concerned with what I’ve seen from Nuss this season. I’m hoping he can develop into a game manager like Matt Mauck or Matt Flynn.

I’ll trust the coaches’ judgement on whether to move forward solely with Nuss or bring in a transfer to start/compete.

After all, CBK did pretty damn well to bring in Jayden Daniels and stick with him. If he decides to go with Nuss full steam ahead, I’ll trust him. If he decides to bring in a transfer and let the chips fall where they may, I’ll also trust his decision in that.

a 3rd year Offensive Line with the best set of athletes on the team, will open up the run game more...than a QB.

C'mon man

What? The kid played through a serious injury a Mizzouri. When he healthy he was great he simply couldn’t stay healthy. Only really played in three games.

"Those quick scores by QBs such as Burrow and Daniels"

I think Nuss will score quick with his propensity to throw it down field

How did you develop this narrative in your head? I mean seriously. He is by far our best option at this point.

I can’t remember the last time we had a guy talented enough to start spend 3 years in the program waiting for his chance. And you are suggesting most want him to transfer? To open up which option exactly?

We just had one of the most talented players we have ever had at QB under a new HC, and didn’t make the playoffs. What makes you think the majority would prefer complete uncertainty at this point?

I am in favor of the best QB. If the coaches think Nuss is it, then good. If they think they can get someone better then good.

Nuss has the arm talent, but things I don't know that the coaches do is his work ethic. He may work his arse off, I don't know. We heard JD5 was spending all his time watching film to get better. I also don't know how well he is grasping the concepts we run.

He has flashes of greatness, he has flashes of bad plays. The bad plays could just be from trying to hard due to limited time.

The one concern I would have, would be a 1 year guy. If we sign that, then we are only left with young QBs for the following year with Collins as the RSsoph. RS Fresh in Hurley and True Frosh stud. We would then need another portal QB for a 1 year rental till our young guys are ready.

The other concern is next year, if we bring in a superstar QB and Nuss leaves, we are in trouble with the backup. Unless coaches feel Collins can play the part.

No one is entitled to a starting job they didn’t earn. If the coaches see a portal guy who they think can compete for that spot, they will bring them in. Nussmeier is a big boy and can deal with that. If not, oh well.

I haven't seen much of this. Just people saying you need to have a quality back up, and bringing in someone who has a little juice will always pick up competition and productivity.

He has been an awesome teammate for the one who beat him out. You think he needs more of this apparently.

No they have not. Maybe this one thread.

I do not see a qb we need to have out there.

We should get Milroes

That you pulled this directly out of your arse. I literally haven't seen a single person, much less "the majority" in favor of him transferring.

Why did you make this up right out of thin air?
