Less was fired for running his running backs into 9 man fronts.

If you are using a Kelly and Staff to make your point you are on shaky ground.
How many on the 2019-2023 teams were recruited by Wilson and staff.

Talent level went down every year after Kelly arrived.

Frank was a great recruiter and a valuable member of this staff for many years. Orgeron is now filling his role.
Now the smooth pitch has to come with a big check.

But I am saying most fans like air raid-style offense. I stand by my original statement.

WRONG

air raid is ONE branch of the spread offense. most have zero clue what a real AIR RAID offense is.

there 4 branches of the spread.

there are many other types of offenses as well.

all you had to say was people like "passing".

Frank 10 years ago was really valuable. In today’s college sports world, he’s not

I’d say that the toxic divisive Godfather wannabe bullshite is way worse than simply not being valuable. He was a cancer

Frank should have NEVER been a position coach. Recruiter in NO area was his claim. His value now is about like an 8 track tape player.

because Lesticles got fired for using his running backs.

Remember that time in the bowl game Clemson couldn't stop Jeremy Hill in the first half, only for him to not touch the ball in 3Q and too late in the 4Q? Then needing like 5 yards for a first down to seal the game ole Les passed the ball on 2nd and 3rd down?

There is no reason to pretend Frank was not an asset on the recruiting trail; he was.

O is a better asset than the frank.

No, Les got fired for piss poor clock management and for refusing to evolve from his 3 yards and a cloud of dust offensive scheme from 1957.

Frank was an asset, but O is an all-time great recruiter, so we did end up better; there is no disputing that.

And I think O is even better in this modern NIL world, not because he recruits better now, but because the biggest part of his recruiting acumen is his ability to connect with both players and their families on a level few others can. That can be how you cut through the fog in a world where money can obscure other, sometimes more important, reasons for making destination decisions.

There is still a need for recruiting and Frank was pretty good at it. However, he sucked as an rb coach. We got plenty of 4 and 5 stars without him over the years and guess what? Lane and his staff are showing they can get 5 stars as well.

Kind of like the South forgetting India and Egypt could grow cotton.
