To learn under LK and then shine as an upperclassman...not a bad situation to be in if you're Pop.

I want him to play so well that’s it’s a no brainer he leaves.

Exactly this! I hope he leaves because it would mean we have had an exceptional season.

Something would have to dramatically change for him to be a high draft prospect at QB.

But, his play recently has been different.

If reports of him making 6 million total NIL are true, he is making the same as the 14th overall pick in the NFL draft is making. If Sam is making closer to 4.5 million, that is the 29th overall pick range. I doubt he is a first rounder, so yea, he'll be back in college. I would like to see him in year 2 of this offense.

Greater than 60% chance he comes back. If he continues to improve in the passing game over the course of the season then he might get some draft buzz late.

Not sure if that's true are not, if it is - unless he gets on fire and his draft projections rise like a meteor, he's coming back. Right now he's listed as a mid-round pick in most mock drafts for 2027, and mid to late rounds in some.

Everyone is on one year contracts.

I doubt Leavitt will be a top 3-4 round NFL prospect, so his bigger market is probably college. Ultimately, it comes down to what LSU would want to spend to re-sign him. I'm sure if he has a good rest of the year he will want to sign a bigger "contract" for next season. Is it worth ~$6M (maybe more) to bring back your starting QB?

Agree. Will depend on how the rest of the season goes but if he shows he's learned to go through progressions and not get happy feet in the pocket and they are beating the likes of AL, TX and Tenn then he might get into the first round.

This is a terrible year for a QB with issues to enter the draft. Deepest QB class in a while. He'd do considerably better waiting and would make a nice paycheck at LSU while moving up draft boards.

As others have said, at this point it's TBD. Too much football left to play to see if he'll actually warrant a high draft pick at the end of the year.

If we make it to (and mostly through) the CFP then he's more likely than not to leave. I'll even go so far as to say if we win the CFP, or are even in the final game he'll probably go pro.

Anything other than that he'll probably want another year to improve his draft position for '28.

It's setting up that way, with the injury and early interceptions. Almost as if our winning the final SECCG and a natty in the Superdome has been pre-ordained. I've got a strong feeling this is the future.

Yes he should return ( rest of season determines if he goes OR is he worth big $$ to stay
I think Clark stays Prolly play some more this year to better evaluate.
He seems to really like being Tiger
Not sure bout Longstreet. When I’ve seen him in videos etc he seems super young etc
With POP coming next year my guess is Husan leaves

If LSU makes some magical Natty run, he'll be gone. Otherwise, he is likely to return. And unless he blows multiple games and gets pulled for Clark, he is likely the favorite to be our starter next season.
