Leavitt has a 5th year of eligibility. And he is currently not in PFF's Top 10 NFL QB prospect rankings. (He was once ranked 8th in their preseason projections). The 10th (& final) QB prospect picked last draft was Garrett Nussmeier in the 7th round. (The 8th QB from Rutgers was also taken in the 7th rd, fwiw).

He would certainly make more in CFB If he does come back, does Clark and/or Longstreet jump in the portal, leaving the QB room potentially with just Leavitt & freshman Pop.

Put on your GM hat.

Unless he goes on some type of linsanity run here starting Saturday I would assume he's coming back

Pretty sure the plan all along was for him to be here 2 years.

Where is he on current mock drafts? That will probably answer the question I would think.

If he stays one or both of the backups go.Which under LK isn’t necessarily a bad thing, under previous coaches it was a disaster.

It entirely depends on how he does this year.

If he goes on a run and we win a bunch of playoff games, likely getting a high grade, and gone.

If we go 9-3 and are on the outside looking in, say he gets a 3-5 grade? I bet he comes back.

This is (at least we think) a really loaded qb draft and next year he'd likley be competing with CJ Carr for #1. Would be worth it to stay.

Longstreet I believe is here for the long haul. Clark will likely bolt because of his handlers.

Pop comes in as your 3rd QB.

Im sure you will be able to answer this question right after the Bama and Texas games. If he lights them up, the chances of him leaving is much higher.

I’m telling him to test the market

He’s too turnover prone

Nobody said he is. Just saying next year is Leavitt's team. Then it will be RFresh Pop vs RJunior Longstreet for the starting job. Whoever loses out likely transfers out. Now there is a world where Lane doesn't think Longstreet or Pop can get it done and he portals a experienced stud QB.
