gotta figure he would insist on getting at least a few innings.

Probably but it won’t be like his last 2 appearances

3-4 innings at the absolute max.

A 6-9 out save would probably be the most we can expect

75-ish pitches so maybe 5 innings

45-50 pitches for a bullpen like session. Don't expect anymore. So I would plan on him coming out of the bullpen in the 6th or 7th. Similar to Landon against Oregon in the 21 Regional Finals.

Skenes is pitching Monday if we get to that point, it will not be a full work, but he will pitch if needed. These guys throw pitches every day. Let win the next two and keep him from having to do it.

Have to imagine it won't be. His "velo" was down a bit last night from the first game, but it seemed like he had fewer "get away from him". So not sure if he was saving some to go as deep as possible, or if he was consciously more focused on hitting his spots.

people want to act like there's some fixed formula for this that works for all pitchers, but there isnt. He'll be on a few days rest, so it really depends how he feels. He was as dominant as usual last night on 4 days, so its not a stretch to think he'll be ready to start game 3 on 96 hours rest. And if we get a rainout Saturday... even better.

Pure guess here - 2 innings at very end like Louis Coleman vs. Texas. Like 30 pitches.

Bigger issue: winning at least one before Monday!

Yep. Florida pitching is coming in full strength and our hitters will have to be near perfect. Pitchers too. It's a big hill to climb. Florida is tougher than WF as they are more experienced.

Aside...White could win the Governorship if he wanted it.

He’s on for about 60 pitches on Monday

IF Skenes pitches he starts.

Skenes is not a middle reliever. It would be more "intimidating" for Florida to see him starting on the bump.

Hell, even if he couldn't go, I would run him out to warm up a little like he is going to start.

If needed he can start and 6-7 innings. But if our bats don’t wake up it may not matter. FLA is a rested and real good team. Gonna be tough for LSU to win this. But very possible.

he was still touching 100 late last night. If he feels good, start him and let him ride until he's done.
