Kiffin isn’t going to Bama. They do not like him and are still bitter towards him because of him leaving before the title game. If anything, I think Kiffin would rather stick it to them from LSU so he can twist the knife. Kiffin and Saban may be good but Kiffin and the bama boosters and Admin aren’t.

I think the only teams we have to worry about are Ohio St, Texas, Oregon and the NFL.
Most were caught off guard by the hire but what made the mixed emotions on the hire was the 10 year $100m on a 62 year old coach that had never won anything of importance. The 10 years had a lot of people wondering WTH are you thinking, including myself. Then he followed it up by firing Moffet, Raymond and some other key personnel. Why would anyone fire Raymond? I could understand moffit but Raymond? Just to replace him with a high school coach with no college experience??

Now look at Kiffin, he has maintained the successful coaches, demoted a popular RB coach because he saw his weaknesses, and upgraded every position coach. Now upgrading the offensive staff is hard but it was all done in a way to hold the key pieces of this class together in a matter of a few days. There is a clear plan and it’s not over.
They thought they’d try and pull a ND when they promoted their DC to replace Kelly. The problem is Golding isn’t Marcus Freeman. They will regret this. They should’ve gone after an offensive minded coach.

Most were extremely excited when LSU hired Kelly. It would be wise to temper your excitement.

You were this excited about hiring Kelly who had been skull drug against every SEC team he played on a big stage? I, among most, took a wait and see approach to Kelly because he had never proven he could win a big game.
Kiffin on the other hand has had elite offenses regardless of where he went or talent level. He’s won at big schools and smaller schools. He has also built ole Miss in to a program they’ve never achieved. Only 2 teams have fewer losses in the SEC than Kiffin had at Ole Miss, bama and UGA.

THIS IS THE LAST YEAR WE WILL NOT BE TALKED ABOUT IN THE PLAYOFFS IN NOV/DEC. We have a coach that wants to build a legacy, has the ability to do it and the foundational knowledge to do so. That’s the biggest difference between him and every other new hire this year, Kiffin has the knowledge and experience to win in the SEC.
It’s the first coach we have had since saban that specializes in one side of the ball. We have seen glimpses of what LSU could be with a competent offensive play caller. However, we have not seen it on a consistent level. Kiffin will bring consistency to the offensive side of the ball and if he can match it on the defensive side, we are looking at a bama type run.

The biggest difference between Kiffin, Golesh, Sumrall and the other offensive type coaches that were out there is experience. Those coaches may do well in the SEC, but from what we have learned it’s no guarantee. Kiffin is the closest guarantee there is because he has been in the SEC for 10+ years at Tenn, Bama and Ole Miss. He worked it from the top half of the league to the bottom half and built a bottom half team to the top half. He knows exactly what it takes, who to hire and where to hide the bodies. No offense to Golesh, Sumrall and others. They may be great hires but there will be a learning curve.

re: Stoops fired at KY? Apparently not

Why would Baker go to KY? Talk about wasting your one shot. He’d be better off going to Tulane first.
I’m just happy we are getting a coach that their fan base is melting he is leaving and not happy to be rid of them like Kelly and Miles…
It’s war. Ukraine lost their ground to Russia and they paid for it with blood. It’s theirs and how the world has worked throughout time. We are the only ones dumb enough to take land, give it back and use our money to rebuild it.
I don’t understand why everyone is mad at Kiffin for “dragging this out”? He didn’t make these insanely stupid transfer portal and early signing day timelines, the NCAA did. They caused all of this with their stupidity because if they’d pushed the dates to post NC game, every coach would be fired tomorrow and the coaching carousel wouldn’t get going until late Dec/Jan. Instead, coaches and teams have to move fast to keep their teams together and to build a roster.
I wonder if Dom is going to OSU via portal.

Who are we losing to Texas? Disregard, I misread your post.
I won’t watch it but that’s child abuse and disgusting. Societies will be judged on how they treat their children and elderly.
If the right does that when the left takes back charge, you can bet prosecutions will occur and examples are made.
We could’ve gotten him a lot cheaper 4 years ago but they decided to go with Kelly. Kiffin was the right hire 4 years ago, just like he’s the right hire today. It just cost $54m to buyout Kelly and probably $5m more a year.
Baker is to aggressive with mobile QB’s. It’s tiresome watching his guys move to far upfield and put themselves out of the play.
That’s what is needed for real change. Some people can deal with a little pain but change only occurs when the pain is greater than the excuses not to change.
Everyone that was apart of this or knew about should be tried for sedition, have their citizenship revoked and face a firing squad. They helped steal and election and overthrow a duly elected gvt. This is also why I think all voter fraud should face the same exact consequences. You’re an enemy combatant at that point and should be tried by a military tribunal at that point.

Before you say that is to harsh, think of the hundreds of thousands of people that died in Ukraine, Israel, Palestine and the financial damage done to our country. How many senators and congressman have stolen their seats? They not only violated the constitution, they have overthrown a seat of power.
In a major war with China and/or Russia, how many soldiers would die before they made a change? The answer is, when the ruling class realized they’re about to lose and their lives were on the line. It’s sad how many people will be sacrificed in the name of DEI.

We know because we’ve dealt with it through the Clinton, Obama and Biden years having the media, FBI, DOJ and other 3 letter agencies being their enforcement and propaganda arm.
