Hey stupid, LSU should be deeper at pitcher. Just because you have bodies on your roster doesn't mean your roster is deep. LSU is loaded with pitchers who get shelled regardless of who they play.

Regarding the term ACE, go read the definition on Wikipedia. Pay attention to the last paragraph. Nitwit.

We are LSU, not USL. GTFO with these low expectations.

Weren’t you defending Ed Orgeron’s 9-4 football season?

Nobody who defends Ed’s performance has any room to criticize PM.

How many more starters do you think this deep team you imagine should have had on it? Four on the roster and hurt. Four playing. Should there be 10 starters, 20? 50?

The same group of Ed O defenders are baseball's biggest critics. They are generally less educated and ill-informed about the current state of college athletics. They are of the opinion that football needs an "LSU" guy and that the current college baseball landscape is the same as it was when Skip was lacing them up.

My only complaint is the lack of a true hitting coach. Not only for our approach at the plate, but base stealing as well. If CPM is going to recruit small, fast guys, by God, we should steal bases.

Compare steals under AC to now.

Don't you know that every LSU player should be able to start on any other team in the country? Our managers and equipment staff used to be better than the starters for the other CWS teams.

I think he’s a great coach seeing how his teams are usually peaking at the end of the year. His philosophy as a “GM” and reluctantance to even tweak it has become mind numbing. It looks like his ideal roster is made up of all lead off hitters and if they happen to have power great but it’s not a priority. LSU shouldn’t be getting a particular brand of player they should just be acquiring talent and if that fails trying to at least balance out their roster. I feel like before he recruits players if hearing the word “gorilla ball” is a possibility he passes, which is prideful and childish.

Certainly a valid and rational view IMO.

You just can't win in Omaha with that new stadium and those winds out of the south if you are not fast and can hit singles.

I wish we had a 20 HR guy (or two) every year too.

Why does someone have to be blame for an injury to a sport where even the professionals get injured in all the time?

Because our fans are immature cry babies that think any time things don’t go their way it’s someone’s fault

Well, we didn't end the season with the same hitting coach we started it with --- because of injury.

CPM is a darn good baseball coach.

He is, I think next year he will surprise people on here because we will have a deep pitching staff and a little more power in the lineup than this past year.

Here's a list of our commitments from position players for the 2018 class:

Brice Turang - SS
Santiago (Corona, CA)
Ht/Wt: 6'1" 165

Elijah Cabell - OF
TNXL Academy (Winter Park, FL)
Ht/Wt: 6'2" 190

Andrew Lee - OF
Home School (Boynton Beach, FL)
Ht/Wt: 6'1" 190

Drew Bianco - SS Signed
Oxford (Oxford, MS)
Ht/Wt: 6'0" 190

Gavin Dugas - SS
Houma Christian (Houma, LA)
Ht/Wt: 5'9" 180

Giovanni DiGiacomo - OF
Cantebury High School (Naples, FL)
Ht/Wt: 6'1" 185

CJ Willis - C
Ruston (Ruston, LA)
Ht/Wt: 6'4" 185

Cade Beloso - 1B
John Curtis (River Ridge, LA)
Ht/Wt: 6'0" 210

Brock Mathis - C
Ht/Wt: 6'1" 200

Saul Garza - C/1B
Ht/Wt: 6'3" 220

People love to talk about Mainieri recruiting a bunch of 5'8" 160 pound leadoff hitters. Read over that list and count the number of players under 6'.

This is true for all fan bases but especially with ours. Bama football fans are just as bad but they blame everyone but Saban lol usually refs or field or bad play by their players cause they believe no one can beat them straight up.

I like seeing Bianco on that list.

Notice all those kids playing SS now--they are athletes and could wind up anywhere on the field.

Would like to see another catcher or two--can always make one of them a first baseman.

We forget that he's coaching a team full of Millennials. Cut him some slack. You think any of our genX pitchers from yonder year would've been kept from competing in the SEC tourny or especially this weekend?

NOPE! They'd have to drug 'em like B.A. Barakus.
