What about the inability to ever lay down a bunt? There were so many mistakes with the fundamentals fielding and hitting all you could do was laugh! Pretty sure the coach is supposed to teach and or coach them up and he just sits on his arse but pump away lol

But why does LSU have injuries to its' top pitchers year in and year out? Who might be responsible?

We just got drilled by Oregon State in 2 games by a combined score of 26-1 and you are talking about how we competed with tge best teams in the country? Do you remember the shellacking LSU took by and average South Carolina team?
Competed at times but certainly inconsistant.

Well Nick Storz was injured before stepping onto campus... so I don't know.

God, Mother Nature, Murphy's Law, and the fact that shite happens?

Why does someone have to be blame for an injury to a sport where even the professionals get injured in all the time?

We lost Walker at the CWS. Gilbert is overrated. Poche was good but not great. Hess is a relief pitcher and maybe a closer. Lange was a true ACE. The ONLY ACE we had.

Overuse because of lack of depth in staff. Maybe just maybe.

And it has nothing to due with the mileage on a kids arm before they come here? So it has to be CPM's fault?

Parity? WTF does that mean? Every sport has the same ncaa rules and regulations for all teams. Always has had. LSU has one of the finest facilities in college baseball and a history which can be matched by 2 or 3 other programs. LSU has led the nation in attendance for approx. 20 years. Lsu is one of the few baseball programs which actually makes a profit on baseball and that is with a million dollar coach. With LSU's advantages we shouldn't be on a roller coaster ride every damn year. LSU should have competant pitchers and players who can hit the damn ball. We have too damn many pitchers who are simply taking up a roster spot and can't fricking pitch. There are no reasons for much of this crap and ineptitude.

This.

frick anyone who wants to cut lsu BB and mainieri any slack.

Do you know what the term "ace" means? I'll give you a hint, it has to do with the number 1. How many college baseball teams do you think have two aces?

Exactly. I'm still wondering how every year is a roller coaster ride. Seems like the team is playing it's best at the end of the year every year.

Yeah I know what it means nitwit. I also know that Poche came back and pitched his Senior year so that had a lot to do with his win total. Poche was good but he was an overachiever plain and simple. Lange was a true ACE.

Didn't he break the LSU record for career wins?

Right, because lord knows holding the record for career wins is easily attained by a less than stellar player. You are a moron, just like all the other idiots that come out at the end of the season to bitch and moan when you don’t know the difference between your a-hole and a hole in the ground.

Yeah, no. He is to blame for fatigued pitchers and poor planning on the roster.

Labas pitched 54 innings.
Hilliard pitched 76 innings
Storz pitched 3 innings.

Smith played 6 games before the stress reaction.

Roster size is 35. Scholarships 27.

Not every injury is the coach's fault. And when you have this many injuries (and you can throw in Walker if you like) with the roster and scholly limits planning is impossible. You hope for quick returns and someone else to step up.

If you disagree, how would you handle it.

Baseball is headed in the same direction as Miles in his last 5 seasons.
Your subject of ridicule, Miles last 5 seasons, has more wins than any other LSU coach's best 5 year stretch.

Also, I guess you ignore LSU was in CWS final last year, and CPM did a pretty good job this year considering the hand he was dealt.

It is unbelievable the idiots that evidently think we should have a season like we had last year even though 4 starting pitchers we recruited are hurt--4 that could start for anybody in the country.

Who is idiot that said we should be deeper at pitcher? How big a roster do you think the NCAA allows?

Most of our position players were freshmen or sophomores.

Get real people.

Although I would agree with you regarding the HC and Pitching Coach, I would prefer to have qualified Coaches for hitting, and 3rd base coach. Not a fan of the former players turned college coach after there minor league careers washed up
