The first thing you highlighted is what he said.

The second part is my opinion. Doesn’t mean I think he’s a guru & im not advocating we even hire him. I think a 20 year nfl QB would have some knowledge of offense

I'm a little confused, I know who Salisbury is but what exactly has he done to put such faith in him as an offensive mind?

He was on TV.

he won a grey cup in Canadian football. He's obviously the guy to bring the offense to the next level.

What has Steve done? Yet people here still accept him as an offensive savant that just simply didn’t want to be burdened with being an OC.

If so, Sean would be a huge addition I believe.

Im okay with Steve getting a second year but we need to upgrade the offensive staff. Too much dead weight. E and Cregg (bama game aside I’ve been impressed with the job he’s done given injuries and poor evals)are the only ones that should be back.

I just tried to find any QB he previously trained online. I couldn't one QB he trained

I like this if true. We need to maintain some consistency on Offense for the sake of letting the players get comfortable in a system, but a change is needed. Hopefully this move allows us to make some tweaks and improve the product on the field while maintaining consistency for the players.

I would be disappointed for many reasons. One of which because I believe that will mean we lose our chance with Briles. I think a big program scoops him up. Probably Bama.

But if SE is going to be here next year (and we don't have a choice), we need to bring in someone who can help us do something against Bama. I don't know if Sean has anything to contribute in that area, but we need someone who can help scheme. Someone familiar with these high scoring offenses. I mean, I don't know why we don't just go get an OC (unless it's a money issue).

Yes I know our lines need to get stronger on both sides. That will be worked on regardless. We need some innovation, too.

I do not know "who", but my feeling all along was that SE was a "place holder" for the next OC.

He did not want the full time gig.

IMHO, he will return to part time duties either this coming year or the next and make room for a "chosen" OC without much fanfare.

Agree, just hard to realistically see a change barring him either retiring or stepping down into his old role (ideal) Stud style when Les hired Cameron:

I think Ensminger's problem is that he is too patient with his playcalling. He wants to set things up rather than attack from the start.

Never really thought about that angle, but I can definitely see that.

He’s actually a great guy. Loves his Trojans though. I used to not be a big fan and then I hung out with him for an evening at Tropical Isle night before 2003 NCG. Loves the ladies though.....to a fault!

I used to work down the hall from him in Houston and ran into him frequently. He was always a nice guy.
