Listening to him talk on the josh innes show ( ) he was prepared to take an analyst gig this offseason but was shot down by compliance. He said he has now distanced himself from the training gig & it sounds like he’s ready to make a move.

He calls LSU “we” when talking. Says he texts O & Slinger regularly.

He says SE is truly a genius but admits he has to tweak this offense. Sean has been helping him with some concepts.

Sean says he could recruit TX & Cali, has connections.

If an analyst he could put this offense into the 21st century. Dude is brutally honest but you can still feel like there is a connection there.

Barring O hiring a totally new OC, I could def see Salisbury being on staff next year. He’s kind of a douche but he’s a cocky douche that knows his stuff.

I’ll try & post the link later. Was a good interview

I don't care how good of an interview it might have been, I can't see how anyone could stand listening to that bag of shite.

I think you're overestimating the impact of having a good analyst.

This is still SE's show, regardless of who's in his ear in between practices.

He said that. He essentially said it’s “modern” but it’s just basic.

He’s actually a great guy. Loves his Trojans though. I used to not be a big fan and then I hung out with him for an evening at Tropical Isle night before 2003 NCG. Loves the ladies though.....to a fault!

This is from August. Apparently the situation has changed.

If you have a well respected offensive guy in the building, they are going to listen.

Read up how they talk about Kevin Coyle, for instance, on the defensive side

From that article:
quote:

Salisbury said he got word on a final ruling Monday. He hasn't ruled out getting approval in 2019 if there is still interest from LSU.

"Everybody did the right thing," Salisbury said. "Unfortunately the timing was off, but maybe down the road it won't be."

Maybe some discussions have taken place behind the scenes since then?

After letting Saturday marinate, I think Ensminger's problem is that he is too patient with his playcalling. He wants to set things up rather than attack from the start.

I just know Salisbury as a former NFL QB and ESPN analyst. Is he some kind of genie when it comes to coaching? I see on google he got offered to coach QB's for Arizona years ago. Does he have any coaching experience that makes him such a hot commodity?

I mean. This is a good thing. He has experience. And I think he ran a QB camp or something. He'd be great to have.

I was wondering the same thing. What makes him a modern day offensive guru?
